Flashing pink means the behemoth locked onto it, and once it arrives there (aka touching it) then it will do something bad to the haven, either destroy, damage, or infest it. Note that the ships the behemoth spawns will not go to the same target the behemoth is locked onto, and that you can't block the bememoth from screwing up the haven, you just have to interact with it indirectly by shooting down its ships or freeing infested havens.
Part of dealing with the behemoth is accepting that havens will get lost, especially if she spawns in a bad continent. Hash tag deal with it.
It can just ♥♥♥♥ up a whole game with no possibility to make something at all, e.g if he spawn in america early in the game, you cannot reach and repair your ship.
So a alternative way to manage, is to save and reload, until it's fine for you.
Dont worry about that, because the behemot does not worry at all to waste your game/time by just blowing up settlement with no options to colonise again.
BTW, once emerged, if he destroy the settlement, you can just re-load again to try to catch the tiny percentage that he will corrupt instead of destroy.
I just try to figure out why this DLC was made...
Looks like just another pain in the ass...
It just seems like it was rushed and not playtested at all.
I dont think anyone enjoys havens being randomly destroyed by something you cannot stop right away.
Yeah, i payed money to have my campaign shortened cuz populations are gone and also i have to spend all my resources on fighting tiny ships... Which sometimes doesnt matter since you can destroy ALL the ships it sends out and it still destroys havens.
My only gripe with the ldc... But its enough to make me not play anymore at all until they patch that so you can attack the behemoth itself to make it retreat OR make it do something other then lower the damned world population.
