Can't get past "Press any button"

Yeah that doesn't work. Waiting 7 literal minutes and then changing my screen refresh rate from 144 to 60 worked. You have to do both of those things. And then you get horrible, inconsistent double inputs in the menus. Actual gameplay works fine. I'm sure the engine they made the game with works great for porn, but I really wish they had used Unreal or something that actually works.

Just like to reiterate that you have to do both of those things. Not one of those things. Don't just change your refresh rate thinking it will work. Both of them. In sequence. Cool.

Strange, my refresh always 1080p@120Hz with no flaws. BUT keep in mind, that game have not exclusive FullScreen mode. Its windowed with some FS properties. For example, i make 1280x720 resolution on desktop - so in game i have 1280x720 too(even if TV indicates, that signal is 1920x1080, picture is sure 720p). If i run SoulCalibur 6 with 1280x720 resolution on desktop, in game i still have 3840x2160 - because SC6 have true FullScreen mode.

As a matter of interest, what sort of controller are you using? I've got a PS4 Hori (RAP4 KAI) that was released as a tie-in with DOA5 and that usually works fine with DOA6, though sometimes I have to quit and restart.

On the other hand it doesn't work at all with SFV without faffing about in Steam's controller menus, and I've also had bother with SCVI. In fact I saw this topic after logging in intending to ask on the SFV board what arcade sticks people were using.

I've tried it with a standard xinput xbone elite controller, I've tried it with nothing plugged in but my keyboard, and I've tried it with the actual Qanba stick I want to use. None of them work.

I'll rephrase that. The keyboard by itself with nothing else plugged in does not work.

I've tried that over and over. Like I said, the only thing that fixed it was waiting a long time (with the window active, no alt tabbing at all) and then changing my refresh rate. Had to be both of them in that order.

Compa Desu here trying so hard to bait it's cute. I'm also having the same issue and these are my specs:

ASUS MAXIMUS XI HERO
RTX 2080 ASUS STRIX
G.SKILL TridentX Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) RAM
Intel Core i7-8700k

The game is not recognizing M+K and Controllers ps4/xbox for some reason. :/

Exit steam and disconnect all pads. Launch steam, then game. Press "M" on keyboard. If nothing happens, press left mouse button and than "M".

Also, when you launch game, in right bottom corner must pop up message (if your controller is connected).

I play with keyboard and sometimes with DS4(wired).

If nothing work, try download new drivers for DS4 or check gamepad settings in steam.

Game support one device at a time. With priority to pad, if you press button on it after keyboard.
