Any Chance?

Why does the game reset and start a new game during the cut scene after you open the secret passage? I had 1 hour 50 minutes into the game and it restarted like I started a brand new game? it's like I never played at all.

When I try to load the game I get a message that says "Error (v3, 115)" followed by some characters I don't have the right keyboard for, and below that, "an error occurred while loading. The application will now exit." This has happened every time I have tried to play, even after I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I have a Windows 10 in case that matters. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it! Thank you for your time. :)...
