Got it to work in english.. All Im saying..

* Launch the Game
* Select the Third Menu Option in the Main Menu
* You will be presented with a Settings Menu
* Select the 4th Item in the Left Side with the white dropdown arrow
* Select the only sub item and set everything to "ingilizce" where possible

A dialogue will appear in turkish but this is Just to say the changes will take effect when you restart the game.

Restart the game and everything should be in English

Downloaded the game (30GB) for 6 hours, then just to find out I have to download another 30GB.
Region is Turkey only
Patching took ages (200 files need to be downloaded)
Currently downloading 200 patches MANUALLY just to find out if its work or not

I manually download all the patches and put it on the right directory but still the launcher kept downloading the patches that I already download.

Would love to know the solution to this issue

- Addicted to gambling, because this game full of RNG

Positive side:

Negative side :
- Boring quests
- A lot of microtransactions
- The game focus so much on PVP, but PVP is bullp00p! so yeah gitgud they said
- World boss are joke, it's a sandbag for loot
- There is no wizard, cleric, knight classic role in PVE, every classes capable to do solo. playing with friend ended up solo all of the time, and get bored afterward.
- Classes are META and not balance, if you main Shai class(support class with no real support) and hunting mobs, everyone will PK(player kill) you easily. yeah have fun with it

I am new into the game since last month and 595 hours playtime by writing this review, 70% most of the time are waiting while traveling place to place (no real fast travel in this game) and more afk/waiting for many little things.

I am quite enjoy this game and i am more into PVE, but the dev hate their player just doing PVE and force them to lick the taste of their PVP system. Why? because in there are 2 type of channel you can enter one is normal and the other is PVP channel where you freely to PK everyone without pinalty, because the channel buffs drop rate from monster by 50%, so most of time you have to fighting for the grinding spot with other players.

I hope dev listens to player like me who just want to enjoy PVE.

Final score 4/10 "A TRUE MMORPG?"

This game has massive design flaws and idiotic in game systems. It has the grindiest and most time intensive end game you'll ever see in any title. The open world forced PvP can be a playground for cyber bullies and encourages the worst behaviour I've seen online in 30 years. AFK activities such as fishing, processing and cooking are defacto, which makes for a lag fest in certain areas. A communist fixed price player market, very limiting group play options, huge travel times, insane RNG all over the place and incredibly inaccessible PvP make for a worrying list of negativity.


Why? Well its rather simple, apart from the cripplingly nit witted design choices stated above, this is still the most gorgeous, immersive and rewarding MMO I've ever played.

I start my session in the coastal town of Velia. Player's Sailboats, Frigates and even tiny fishing craft are arriving and leaving the port behind the Storage Manager where I collect a few items for my morning outing. The crumbling ruins of the ancient bastion of Cron Castle loom over the bay high on the cliffs, my destination is the forest behind it. Dodging the bandit guards who have infested this once noble fortress, I swop out my high level armour for a comfy Hunter's outfit forged from bones of a great beast and padded with skins of others.

Checking my Matchlocks are in full repair, I reload and crawl forward on an unsuspecting Wild Hog, soon the meat I butcher from him and the skins I gather from the Deer frolicking behind him, will become crafted foods and clothing I will sell for profit on the Player Market. I might even gain another Life Skill level, thereby ensuring my top 5 Rank Badge I proudly float over my head is retained!

• Hunting is one of the many Life Skills you can focus on. Leveling up any Life Skill allows for greater yields and procs better items.

Time to check on my Worker Empire, these zealots are fuelled by Beer, or other items in truth but its way more fun imagining a sozzled workforce, so Beer they get. These wobbly goblins, giants and human indentured servants of mine are harvesting materials from nodes around the major cities, or pottering around in Workshops I own in Port Epheria or the capital of Calpheon City. They can pump out gear, advanced upgrades for my Trade Wagon, Horses or Boats, clothing or cool furniture items for one of my 3 player homes.

My Guild members are bleating about wanting a large Guild Quest, I activate a kill order for them and the happy lot swarm off to a desert location. 2 of the new chaps get instantly lost as they enter the Great Black Desert, a place where your mini map and compass are non-functional, and reading the land is essential to finding your way. Many break down and construct a special Compass for this task, but those in the know are never lost. Except sometimes. This same dynamic is present in the Margoria, the open ocean beyond the last scattered islands peppered with hidden Barter Traders and sneaky Pirates.

• Guilds are primarily used to organise the in game mass PvP events, but many, like mine, are social / PvE focused.

On a whim, I climb the mountain bordering the tiny winding mountain pass blocking coastal Velia from the bustling city of Heidel overlooking the swamps and farmlands. It is not easy, but i find a route and am rewarded with a view all the way to the Trina Knights fortress, perched on a peak flanking the only way into Calpheon's farmlands, these tireless men and woman are under a constant barrage of Harpies, their fury fuelled by their queen...Karanda. This particular World Boss is just about to spawn on schedule, I'll swop to my Valkyrie character - waiting for her time to shine! A large group of players are waiting to drop her and loot the corpse, many get struck by her massive AOE attack while a few low level players hang back waiting for the others to whittle her defences down.

• World Bosses spawn on a fixed schedule, so you can plan your visits to them. They have pretty low drop rates for their primary loot, Boss Gear (Armour/Weapons) but drop a ton of other stuff including a collectible that rewards you with a Boss Item at 100 count.
  
• Exploring the massive map and changing climate zones, discovering hidden villages and idyllic waterfalls or hidden caves is a full time activity

On my way down the hill I spot a white horse! A potential Tier 5 level if I can catch her! Checking that I have some sugar cubes and carrots on me, I start swinging a rope and approach. Later, I'll stable this new mount and breed her with my existing level 30, hoping to upgrade to a tier 7! Riding to the nearest military outpost that has an empty stable for me, I remember I should check my farms for weeds and bugs, its nearly harvest time and I need the special fruits to go into my Alchemy potions I'll be making for a later kill grinding session in the Forest's of Kamyslyve.

• Horse Training+Breeding & Farming are more Life Skills, and a viable source of money making, selling to Imperial (in game) or Player Markets.
  
• Heading out and actively killing monsters is called Grinding and is the primary source of XP and money from dropped loot. Player level is uncapped in BDO, but is a massively hyperbolic XP requirement after level 61.

I'm up for a long ride now across the entire map, my options are running which takes forever... but at least levels my Stamina (can always ALT-TAB and read some emails!), grabbing one of my many horses, or even go hop on the intercity Air Balloon....but not right now. Now I pull out my Trade Wagon, load up on some essentially required goods and set a course. Off we go! Leaving the city a looming thundercloud busts open and drenches me totally, I see some guys who are attempting to dry harvested animal hides giving up and heading inside. The sun will be shining the other side of the Drieghan pass though as I climb snow-capped peaks.

• Travel in BDO can be done actively controlling your character, or using an Auto-pathing feature that allows you to AFK moving to a player set location. Walking across the entire map continent will take you about 1 full real world hour. A fast horse can do it in 15mins.
  
• Trade is yet another Life Skill and can be very profitable once leveled up, or a small alternate income to be made if you AFK travel a lot.
  
• There is no need to actively move around the map wasting time, you can leave characters in zones you wish to do things in, and will find yourself using the 1hr move function often once you have many.

Before I log off, I'd better have a look at spending my hard earned cash from today. The Silver I made from trading directly, and collecting sales from the Player Market off items I posted previously is enough to purchase an better version of one of my Rings. I toy with the idea of manually upgrading my old item, but think better of it and decide to just sell it as is.

• Upgrading in BDO is an interesting design choice. Over a certain grade, all upgrades are totally random (RNG). You can increase this gamble using a system called "Failstacking", which is an increase in probability gained after every....failure. You can actively fail on purpose with cheap items.
  
• Many players will roll the dice for you though, and sell for profit these items on the Player Maket. Of course, gambling is gambling, and this being a Korean game you find this aspect EVERYWHERE in the game. Most of the time it is avoidable though.

Been waiting a long time to try this due to region locks etc, works fine in English , works great from South Africa....about time.

As for the game itself, so far so good. Different to what I expected from it. Feels more like Age of Wushu than a WoW/GW 2 PvP Hybrid. Which to me is awesome, I do enjoy more PvP focused MMO's and did enjoy Age of Wushu.

Dont expect a WoW or easy learning curve when buying though.

After 50 hours in, following tutorial quests, the story line etc. I will keep this a positive thumbs up. The game itself is awesome!

However...a BIG However...
Do not expect an entirely Free 2 Play experience and still be good at it. BDO has a great way of making you feel like your achieving alot! Especially as a newbie. Tons of free items, expensive items too. Which you will most likely use way too early in the game. You will gain levels very quickly, and almost feel you got it under control until you start heading to around 55 +.
Thats when the grind starts seeping in and boy...does it seep in, and so does the prices.
With items on the Pearl Shop, Ie outfits for example...giving bonuses to EXP and other cool stuff which you can wear over your armor starts clearing the misty veil of how BDO starts making its money.
The same goes for its armor/upgrade system. Grind for weeks or months for the Items you need , It is all RNG. Or use real cash and get stuff faster. Pay to make sure your upgrades do not break your items, pay to fix your items etc, or face the scarey RNG wall of not paying.

If PvE is your only, and I mean only end game goal, you may be okay..."Maybe" If the RNG Gods are on your side.
If PvP and Sieges are on the cards for your end game goals and you wanna be good at it, no matter how good you are at your class, DO NOT Expect to get that without paying. Players who have invested real money will flatten players who have not in those situations. The difference is day and night. Just look at the markets for yourself. Expect to pay 2000-3000 Rand or more to actually start becoming just high end avg geared.

BDO Baits you....It will give you some of it, but not all of it. "Here you go, have some items that will really benefit you later, and they really do! Have 10 of em." The day will come you use those 10 and realise....darn, I actually needed 12. I guess I better go grind for weeks, or wait! I can buy now on the cash shop! BDO showers you with free amazing stuff for the first 30 days. The free 7 day Value packs are soooo good. After that though...yup, you guessed it. Cash shop. Best dyes in the game? Cash shop. Wanna edit your characters looks etc? Cash shop. These items can also be bought via the Market. Best in Slot items too can also be bought on the Market. No raids or Instances here.
Dont worry, as a new player you will experience all of these + more free, for a limited time.

I personally dont see this as a down side, alot will though.The game itself is really good, tight combat, and from a market with so many MMO's nowdays, BDO is actually really refreshing. I dont mind paying small amounts to get what I want faster, if this is instead of $14USD a month for WoW, but for less than 100 Rand to buy BDO, what do you expect?

My best newbie advice would be to pick a class you like and stick with it, the DLC starter packs are actually really good, so if you do wanna fork out for them, go ahead. The items help alot, and try be minimal in your spending until only 55+

I bought the game understanding that it has multiple regions and languages. I am a South African working and living in Thailand but i can't read Thai. after buying the game and installing everything was in Thai so i looked for language changing options but found that there where none, there was also no option to change regions. I have never had an issue with buying a game on steam that is not English. I was given no warning upon purchasing the game that English will not be an option.

the version of the game that can be downloaded in my library is a different region, me and my friend cannot play together for he has the SEA version and TR version keeps downloading in mine. all my friends had purchase theirs now they cant refund because the patch made their run for about 10 hours. the devs of this game does not care as i have found multiple entries online that they refuse to help saying its steams problem,
i am very displeased with this experience.
