PSA: Check out these guides if dying too fast
Hi folks,

I've noticed many newbies getting frustrated and rage quitting, especially joining on the higher difficulties. Sometimes its because of bad positioning, or getting left behind when you try to stand in 1 place and shoot. However this game also doesn't do a good job of teaching you how it works either. Here are 2 guides that saved me some frustration.

For a pro gamer experience, read these two guides:

Also: Heavy flammer and plasma cannon OP. Try those for an easier time.

I saw that first guide earlier; while it has a lot of very interesting info for a new player such as myself, it really seems to rely on you getting enough Renown to buy the right upgrades, and when you keep "dying too fast", getting that Renown is going to take a looong time...

2nd guide will let you reach 1st guide's upgrades. Its all about playing "tactical". (Ironically, if you wanted to play tac termie, play the chapp boi, much more OP).

If you see NM runs, especially with FF off, you can be effective even with no upgrades. I got myself boosted early on via this. If you look out for the relics, even normal missions can get you some decent XP.

Aside from knowing the right gear and mechanics, this game boils down to how effective you can use chokes and cover 1-4 different killzones. If things get overwhelming, find a good spot to camp in and clear the waves out. You generally do not want to be out in the open without a way to funnel the nids. (plasma cannon and heavy flammers can again mitigate this tho xD)
