Defying Limits: How To Unlock?

I've seen two separate guides on how this is done. One on youtube saying you have to S Rank every other mission first (which is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, given how this AI loves to cheat), and one on Reddit saying I just have to reach level 100.

As of the time of writing this, my character is nearing the early 90's in terms of level. So if the second method is true, then I'm not too far off. But if the first one is true, then I'm going to be quite mad!

You just have to hit level 100. Then they'll open up in sequence as you finish them (14, if memory serves).

Good. Like I said, the AI seems to be cheating lately, and getting S rank on everything would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Although now I don't see much point, because I bought the edition that came with all the Season 1 DLC characters. So by the time I hit level 100, they should all be close to hitting it, too.

Bought this for Switch, btw, not Steam.
