One regular beam and boom -70% hp vs Frieza AI, ridicolous, there are some more characters that do the same thing, you just can't let guard down for a moment, just nuts

I remember that part. I usually die to that death beam a lot. I was able to beat it in the end. I didn't bother use super attack at all. I was kinda force to use other character any way.

You can always go play the free missions to do the limitbreaker quests to raise your level cap and get stronger. If you're struggling, try beefing up a bit, unlock some more j skills, stuff like that. Fortunately the RPG aspects in this game can offer a pretty decent cushion if you need it.
