Dmg+sugar and oil+flame vent hit him while he is stunned from burn and repeat oil+flame vent once burn ends.
If you have sacrifical dagger good idea to use them.(half hp for 5 embelms).
As he is a "Beast" he is also weak to firecrackers every 15-20 seconds.
But I have found flame vent+oil more efficient.
Phase 2 he takes good extra(likely+37.5%) damage from divine confetty as he is now an apparation. So do not use fire stuff anymore.
His slow downward swing if deflected will knock him to the ground then use the spear(that cost 1 embelm) and pull out the centipide for good hp and very good posture damage.
His terror scream can be blocked by any umbrella.
But best to learn head scream signal and move away.
If terror bar is close to full use terror cure.
Use the fireworks attachment on it, you got this!
Chained Ogre and Blazing bull.(both early game).
Both of them have clear prostetic weakness and not just deflect only boss fights.
Genichiro the first real skill check about game mechanics.
Guardian Ape or Headless Ape.
Demon of hatred albeit he is optional. Some can not kill him.
Prostetic weakness(fire umbrella, malcontent) makes it much easier.
Final boss but on NG you can brute force him with axe spam.
He is a clear skill check.
I knew he wasn't supposed to be difficult and I knew I shouldn't be using KBM, but I didn't want to buy a new controller, as I did not trust the long-term reliability of any of them. I finally reached a point, where I had had enough and decided to buy the Elite 2. I beat him fairly quickly after that.
Virtually every mini and major boss I encountered after him, were challenging on some level, and I beat most of them easily. However, I still never forget the absolute nightmare that that first boss gave me and how much time I spent struggling over him.
Obliterated me over and over again when I got there. I managed to learn the timings and stuff but could never make it a done deal.
Decided to drop it for, I think 2 months, the frustration was absolutely real. Came back, beat him in around 5 tries - Never liked being the underdog.
True Corrupted Monk was a close call too but, I managed to pull through that one.
thanks fam, took me 3 more days to do so but finally killed the bastard
Tried the game later from the beginning after having played a number of games that directly ripped off the Sekiro combat style. Somehow the experience was no different. At no point did I ever feel like I was getting the hang of the combat or that I was improving (whether I objectively was or not) and the respawn points being so far away from the thing that killed me most of the time just made things tedious as heck.
Not sure what it is about this game specifically that I can't enjoy. Its not the combat, because I've played other games with the exact same combat and I love them.
i still hope one day i will find a precise, hard and fair game
for me sekiro is not it, one hour and i just dont want to ever pick it up again, even dark soul made me try for 80 hours
