Doesn't the game even tell you this though?
Well the game wants you to deflect him but I didn't know that your posture couldn't be broken if you kept deflecting. I wasn't assuming that to be the case because your posture bar still increases even if you deflect, but honestly, you can beat him without even filling your posture bar entirely anyway.
I assumed it would simply because deflecting would still fill up my posture bar but there's plenty of room to recover your posture so that's not even going to be an issue unless you're doing it wrong

I found this guy has that weird effect where second time around you just get lazy and forget to actually time his attacks.
I dont think it does, but im not really sure. I do know almost everyone (myself included) missed that bit in like the entire playthrough.
