Wait, what? Are you talking about the guy that sheaths his sword and does double hits? If so, you can deflect him and take no damage.
Deflecting is different from blocking.
Its a simple tap tap. Hardly difficult to time. You don't even need to react to the second hit either.
That being said, I eventually get every enemy type attack and moveset learned to a rather autistic degree after enough fights.
Tho with the sonic waves its more effective to sidestep/jump and sprint to him for free hits.
Speaking of the charged Iai he does: you can also jump over the horizontal slash before the vertical slash hits. (real hardcore hitbox porn when that happens) I wouldnt try that with Emma's version tho, since hers has the second slash come faster.
Second hit is that second tap requirement. If you only deflect the first hit you will take damage from the second one. I wouldnt say its hard to time right, but rather hard to realise you have to deflect both swings.
