maybe you don't know because you're young child but once upon a time there were games released in a fully completed state instead of trying to sell extra bits and pieces of it
Im a souls fan btw. Sekiro rocked :)
Idk i just say this during the sale and thought was there DLC that I missed lol
yeah, no, there was only a free update that added the boss rush mode and skins. that was all. I wish they made sekiro longer or even made DLC for it maybe if need be rather tan getting overrated open world dark souls 3... luckily I can keep playing sekiro for ages thanks to mods :-)
back on topic. I think this GOTY edition thing is purely marketing. Just so to draw a few more ppl in. even if they were just to check the info page to see if sekiro got dlc,
or if they'd buy the game regardless and thought oh well, seems game got DLC and updates over the years so I guess I should buy it now during a sale,
or merely slapped it now due to fact it won actual goty award...
whatever the reason, yeah, all it got was small few patches for few bugs and balance changes and that one "big" free update that added boss rush mode aka gauntlets, ability to replay boss fights, 3 skins and one new combat art.
it never got any real proper expansion; so yeah, a bit misleading since goty editions usually indicate that it's a package with DLCs and not that game won goty award.
i always found it weird that they often call DLC editions GOTY edition instead of some other non sense they usually go for like full edition, super ultra delux golden jesus on a unicorn edition, etc...
