yeah but popular opinion is that sekiro is harder than dark souls 3
depends. I strugle with some bosses in dark souls if I don't go knight build much much more then even the thoughest challenge in sekiro but that just might be cuz I played sekiro more (or i suck at making builds in ds3)
Popular opinion is also plagued by Souls veterans who refused to read tutorial prompts and went here and on Reddit after a few hours, pissed off to no end because "it's impossible to beat this tracking. The dodge has no i-frames. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!".
Opinions from people who refuse to learn the game they're currently playing aren't exactly very... accurate.

Your complaint about only losing a bit of Posture by blocking is solved by getting rid of the Charm, too; you really don't a have a reason not to. Just like you don't really have a reason not to use Greatshields.
