dark souls 3 vs sekiro in terms of difficulty
i have played and finished both games & got all achievements.

i have played dark souls 3 for 1600+ hours defeating everything in ng7 (hardest), granted, i didn't do that in sekiro (only ng4, with charm, and without the bell) however i feel like at this point, after learning how to play both games properly, i find myself dying more and more in dark souls 3

in sekiro i can hide behind my butterfly deflecting for certain attacks that im not good at timing deflect, if something goes wrong, i only lose a slight posture damage. it isnt like that in dark souls, if my dodge timing goes wrong, i lose massive health. bosses like pontiff, demon prince, darkeater midir can deal massive health damage, most of the time 1 shotting me, even though i am sl 200+ and have health softcapped.

in sekiro, you get a massive warning sign for certain attacks, but you dont have that in dark souls. yes, in dks3 all attacks can be dodged, but certain boss attacks, especially grab attacks require some neat dodge timing to dodge the attack properly, and it is often hard to read - perhaps at least for me.

i know that it is possible to use a greatshield in pve in dark souls, which can make any fight trivial, but most players dont do that because it is not fun.

also, you can get invaded in dark souls 3. fighting against a try hard all ready for pvp while you are in your pve build is more than any challenge sekiro can offer.

at this point i almost never die in sekiro if its a ng1-4 run, whereas i am dying a lot in dark souls, a lot more at least. i will admit that i had a really hard time learning sekiro, harder than dark souls, but after learning properly i can say that sekiro is easier than dark souls 3.
i must say that pontiff (hardest dks3 boss for me) is harder than isshin sword saint for me.

you guys are probably going to disagree, saying i havent fully explored sekiro difficulty, but at least i can say that ng1 dks3 is harder than ng1 sekiro for me.

but i admit that my first sekiro pt was a lot more harder than my first dks3 pt.

depends. I strugle with some bosses in dark souls if I don't go knight build much much more then even the thoughest challenge in sekiro but that just might be cuz I played sekiro more (or i suck at making builds in ds3)

Popular opinion is also plagued by Souls veterans who refused to read tutorial prompts and went here and on Reddit after a few hours, pissed off to no end because "it's impossible to beat this tracking. The dodge has no i-frames. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!".

Opinions from people who refuse to learn the game they're currently playing aren't exactly very... accurate.

So you chose not to use Greatshields because it would make most fights trivial and not fun. But then chose to keep the Charm and not use the Bell, so why even say the game is too easy? You chose to trivialize the game with Easy Mode yourself.

Your complaint about only losing a bit of Posture by blocking is solved by getting rid of the Charm, too; you really don't a have a reason not to. Just like you don't really have a reason not to use Greatshields.

if you love to hesitate (disgusting) then dark souls would be easier, if you realise that hesitation is defeat (eternal virtue) then sekiro will feel easier
