I have killed Anayama the Peddler the first time I came across him in the Hirata Estate, will this be a big deal moving forward in the game?

Probably blocked opportunity to get one of the upgrades that he sells.

Only way to find out is to go to a closed gate area before the chained ogre area. If he's not there then you can say good bye to his wares

He sells the Phantom Kunai upgrade for 3000 gold, you could of course get that in ng+ aswell

Without spoilering too much but Ayama is a merchant so obviously you can't buy his stuff.

He also has a questline related to another NPC that will upgrade his shop with more stuff, this questline has multiple outcomes though so its not that bad.


The worst thing about killing him is that it also prevents you from upgrading your shuriken prosthetic to max level since you need the Phantom Kunai that he sells to do so.

I did the same thing accidentally lol. I thought he was an enemy.

Ive noticed this title specifically is VERY trollish, not in terms of enemy placement but definitely making you ♥♥♥♥ up something on your own.

I knew i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by accidentally attacking, tho thing is in other games you have to attack the NPC twice or more to get them to aggro. I only knee jerk attacked once and he instantly got mad lol.

It's actually Patches the Hyena's Japanese reincarnation. Only this time, he goes by the name "Cheato Baggashi".

One less merchant, but honestly, most of his stuff should appear in the collection box, presumably.

You'll miss out on a 10% store discount for not being able to follow his questline to the bitter end, however. This means very little by the way - at that stage of the game, you'll be capable of grinding money like no tomorrow anyway.

Not to mention choosing that option means missing out on one of two better quests.
