What do you use the loaded spear on?
I am near the end of the game by now, at least I think so and I haven't stripped a single enemy of his armor like advertised. I feel like i been scammed

It doesn't strip armor the wording of the description is miss leading on what the weapon is to be used for. Its main usage is to space enemies and use its long range to poke at them or poke at retreating enemies.

I don't understand either, it says you can remove pieces or armor with it, and I just met an enemy with unpenetrable armor.
I spammed the 2x RT/R2 like the weapon description does, and it does nothing.

The guards on the bridge were talking about a certain soldier in armor. Anyone know who they might be talking about?

Some of the big fat guys with clubs have armor, it is used to remove this armor

It's definitely got some mad range. I use it every now and then to poke stuff.

I was wondering the same, I believe i'm at the final boss and I feel like i've missed someone big because of this.

oversight maybe? if it's not the bridge-dood. I've no idea.

You can eavesdrop on some guys who talk about someone in ill-fitting armor. I think they're referring to Seven Ashina Spears since he's the closest mini boss to them. If the spear can't strip armor it must be a cut feature they forgot to edit out of the text.

They were talking about the big fat guy right over the fence beyond them aren't they? He had a chest piece on I figured that was him. I didn't try the loaded spear on him though.

some of the huge mallet type enemies have armor that you can remove.

some meaning like...3.

none of which are actual miniboss types.

in terms of practical usage outside of that, the sweep-type spear is a solid choice for crowd control and the fire type can capitalize on red-eye weakness if you aren't using the fire axe or flame vent for some reason.

Everything... Used the spear more than almost any other worthless prosthetic.

The fire axe is pretty sweet though to deal insane posture damages. Firecrackers too. And oil + flame vent is probably my all time favorite.

spear doesn't work on him, though.

also he's one of the guys mentioned by the firecracker description text

You can deal a lot of posture damage to enemies that are in drinking animation (like the Drunkard in Hirata Estate) if you do the stab + pull attack with the spear
