2nd revive not activating

So, I got the second revive from Kuro, but it's not activating?
I'm still only able to revive once....

u need to charge it. it's not a get out of jail card.

You can’t revive twice in quick succession, you need to perform a death blow or kill an enemy before you can use it again.

You can only revive a 2nd time once u perform another deathblow and that black cross over your hp bar disappears again, so against bosses you will only be able to revive once per phase at most

I revived during the first phase of demon of hatred and died again on the third and it didn't give it to me

You get one.

After that the other resurrection orbs are striken through with a black bar until you can use them again after performing a deathblow.

And even then you need a full orb to be able to resurrect again.
