Shura is the Japanese way of saying Asura. In Hinduism Asura are divine like beings whose main trait is craving power. In fact power is quantified by "Asuras". So it can being a being who craves power or a adjective for power. Can be either good or evil.
In Buddhism Asura are beings of the Desire Realm, and are personifications of sin. An Asura is obsessed with violence and conflict. So when they say you are becoming Shura, they mean Asura in the Buddhism sense I believe. As these guys are most certainly evil, or more appropriately (in Buddhism sense) unable to gain Enlightenment.
