You can find the fire tool in the area unlocked by using the bell.
Or just learn the fight. you are probably trying to dodge the attack when you see the red kanji.
But I see now that you are a bit of an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so have fun either way!
That's because your dodging when you should be running or jumping backwards. I understand that whatever other games you are used to had to dodge a lot, but dodge is only really used to re-position in this game, not to I-frame attacks.
I keep telling people this. If they are really having a hard time with bosses and find themselves getting too frustrated to play, look up guides on YouTube. I really like Tyrannicon's.
You cant blame a highly difficulty game if you die. You wont enjoy the game that way.
Ogre is unfun and cheesy. Though there are ways to, much like almost every other encounter, cheese him back. You can lure him, get a stealth blow, and then just play safe with firecrackers which you can obtain from an earlier merchant to make the battle much easier.
Once you get past him the game really starts to pick up. Fights become much more fun and far more well designed than this obnoxious grab spamming oaf, who doesn't even serve to teach you any useful skills for the later sections of the game, aside from maybe sprint-jumping away from grabs (which, unlike with Ogre, will actually work).
Shame if you're quitting here because you're missing out on a lot of good content. The game definitely doesn't get any easier from here, but at least you'll be able to learn from those failures and come to recognize mistakes.
I don't get that feeling facing Ogre without exploiting his weaknesses. And I'm on my 3rd playthrough.
