Third Resurrection does not work

I turned the item to Kuro to obtain the 3rd slot for res and and it was empty, then i refilled it with the proper item.
Now I'm dying 2 times and does not trigger the 3rd, am I missing something?

You need to do enough damage to an enemy or to deal a deathblow to get access to res again.

Or use one of the ''kill yourself'' items like the Bite Down or Hidden Tooth items. Those only allow resurrection if you dont have the black slash through your bar tho.
