Is this the "Eastern Land" Darksouls calls too?
When you would pick up a katana or eastern armor they would useually describe them from coming from an "Eastern Land" and in fact people have preposed that Bloodborne is a descendant of the Painted World of Ariamais/Ariandel. Also it's been claimed that Demon's souls is part of the chaos flame in DS as well.

It seems like Fromsoft has a pattern of connecting all their games with a small-wink. After three games that could all link back (or forward: demons) to Darksouls can we just conclude that they are all connected and it's not some crackpot gamer-conspiracy?

It's really a damn shame that barely few people know anything about Kingsfield because no doubt there's something that connects Darksouls to it also. I can't wait to find something in Metal Wolf that's like "Yeah, Darksouls".

I highly doubt it is. Dark Souls takes place in its own world, while some of its cultures are losely based on historic cultures. Sekiro takes place in historic Japan, with the twist that myths and legends from Japans history are real. From Software does connect its games at least with references though. If I am not mistaken, the Moonlight Greatsword which appears in all of the souls games (Demon's and Dark Souls 1+2+3) in some form or another, originated in king's field.
MLG is in the Old Hunters DLC for Bloodborne and Metalwolf has a version of it too.

Meta Time! Dark Souls is the after life where you go if you die in any other Fromsoft game until you play a non-dark souls game then you come back to life in the Fromsoft universe?

While the theory that all of From's worlds are connected is fun, there's a lot more evidence to suggest they aren't than to suggest they are.

WHAT?? This is historically accurate?! Does that mean Bloodborne totally happened in Europe somewhere?

How is Bloodborne connected to the Painted Worlds? They’re literally painted worlds. They can’t change, only rot with age.

Also the only other Soulsborne game Sekiro could possibly share a world with is Bloodborne, but that’s still a massive stretch.

Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls worlds however are very self-contained since they both have world origin lores.

Because unlike everything else in the Souls universe that requires souls, dark, fire, or chaos the painted world is made by blood and both Painted and Bloodborne are described as universes imagined by the mind. The gods feared Perscilla for Life Hunt a skill that caused massive bleeding.

It wouldn’t explain the Great Ones in Bloodborne, though.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or if you're an idiot.

He’s definitely being sarcastic, but where Dark Souls and Bloodborne would be fiction, Sekiro could almost be considered a magical historical fiction since it takes place in a documented area and time period of Japan. The Ashina were a real clan in japan after all, but they were pretty minor.

Interesting thing I just found on wikipedia:
“The Ashina play a prominent role in Futaroh Yamada's novel Yagyu Ninpocho where, following their defeat by Masamune, they went into hiding only to emerge years later as shinobi in service to the daimyō of Aizu.”

So that’s probably a deliberate reference by FromSoft

Wait so the Sega Yakuza games really happened??
I already flunked one history test the other day when I did an essay about how Christopher Columbus was probably actually in search of insight so he could have eyes on the inside and commune with the old gods.

Ok... I was not gonna say anything and let you folks have your little headcanon fun but now you're just being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so here it goes. Miyazaki and team have stated multiple times during interviews that they have never made any of the games with the intention of them being seen as "in the same universe" other than the Dark Souls.

Every instance of Patches, Michael Wilson, the Moonlight Blade, the Fluted Armor at the beginning of Dark Souls, the "hunter from and eastern land", that one general in Sekiro that has the name of a Tenchu character, etc., are nothing more than little easter eggs or internal jokes between devs. and fans. They were never intended to connect the different worlds, and in fact this has lead From Software to have to publicly apologize to Sony for inconveniencing them with Bloodborne fans flooding their lines and email accounts with questions of whether BB2 was on the making thanks to the little doll easter egg in Déraciné.

So there you go. Headcanon away all you like, but next time you want to play the sarcastic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ remember that the people that make these games have already stomped on your little fantasy with a big fat "STFU".

He would say that to keep us guessing. You don't even know.
