Did Dororo inspire Sekiro?
I've been watching the new anime remake and the similarities are just too damn uncanny and for anyone who hasn't seen it, its the perfect companion to this. Can someone please ask Miyazaki about this since i know Berserk inspired Dark Souls and you still see some references to Berserk in sekiro.

We know they used Basilisk, Blade of the Immortal and Berserk as inspiration. Those have been talked about in previous interviews. It's likely that Dororo is in the mix as well, simply because is a very old anime and a Tezuka work, which means it's likely to be in the DNA of manga and Japanese animation in general anyways.

Also, the comparisons are very shallow if you take out the prosthetic part to be honest. Most of the things they share can be summed up in "yeah... because it also happens in fantasy end of sengoku period Japan".
