Problems with GPU Intel HD Graphics 3000 and Directx 12
When I try to run the game appears a window saying that my GPU with vendor id 32902 and device id 294 is not DirectX 11 compliant, and I have Directx 12 version and my GPU have 2GB of VRAM.
What can I do in this case?

What if you at your own risk alter the values found in this file? (if your vendor ID is listed there that is).

"Steam\steamapps\common\AoE2DE\resources\_common\dat\adapterblacklist.json"
Worth a try, unfortunately I don't own the game but I did something like this to play diablo 3 on my intel hd 3000 back then
Same problem will running a DirectX 12 version, win 10 Pro 64 bits. 4 RAM, Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G630 procesor.

The message box says:
"Failed GPU startup.
Intel(R) HD Graphics GPU with vendor id 32902 and device ID 258 is not DirectX 11 compliant."

Problem persists even after using a dxcpl64bit.exe file.
Need help.
We all need help but we're not getting any help it seems

I'm afraid other than getting a dedicated graphics card there's no solution to your problem.
The Intel HD graphics chip on the G630 does not support DX11. The fact that your system uses DX12 doesn't mean that your GPU actually supports it.
The game also needs 2GB of VRAM which your GPU doesn't have, it only shares its memory with your RAM.

You guys aren't getting help, the problem is literally your hardware not meeting the minimum requirements. There isn't some trickery or magic solution unless Microsoft lowers the minimum requirements further.
Directx12 is an upgrade on directx11 , but you can play the game only with directx11 , what a joke.

DirectX is backwards compatible with previous versions. If your OS and hardware components support DX12 you can play any DX11 game.
The error messages you previously posted indicate that your GPU does not support DX11 and neither does it have 2GB of VRAM.
In which case, sadly, you're out of luck.

Run DXdiag and under the display tab look where it says feature levels.

Thank you for clearing that up. It's a shame. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to play.
i have other games that supposed need DirectX11 and i can play them, but AOE doesn't work

Man... I don't know your GPU model, but my GPU has 8GB of Vram and I'm having some problems too... I can start the game properly though... I think we should wait for perfomarce fix
just to be sure check if your gpu is compatible with the system requirements of the game though
This game is not very GPU heavy, especially not with the texture pack. Trying doing some analysis on what your system is bottlenecking on.

Here is my analysis on my system for the benchmark: https://steamcommunity.com/app/813780/discussions/0/2803982773084658819/

"My average FPS is about 30 in the benchmark (which is indeed a full map of 8 players outside of the camera view), using my system monitoring tools I can see that the highest GPU usage is only 32% and there are high spikes in frametime. What is pretty strange is that my system RAM is maxing out at 15666 MB peak and avg of 15342."

So what I'm getting from all this is that I upgraded my bootcamp to this annoying ass Windows 10 OS just to find out I'll need to buy a whole new laptop just to play this game I've been waiting a year for?

Lol. that's the way the cookie crumbles
However, if I do go the route of getting a new computer, how would I know before purchase that it would contain a GPU that's DirectX11 compatible?
I can run the game with a Vega 3 which is IGPU.

I have that same problem

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7670M external graphics card. But it does not see it in any way.

I've never encountered a problem like this in any game except for this game. I play with this video card even in games with better system requirements.

If this problem is not solved, I will refund the game.
Did you manage to solve it? I had the same issue, as the notebbok would see the intel hd 3000 as "standard" and did not recognize the other GPU. You have to change the standard GPU to enable the game to recognize it. I use that software "Catalyst Control Center" to do that. And it won't work just by assingning the game with the better GPU, you have to put it to work all the time.
