Loop 2 - playing with fire
The first matches puzzle is INFURIATING.

Ok, I have matches and a cardboard wall to burn. Easy.

The second cardboard wall is farther away. I forsee problems. Indeed, a single match doesn't last long enough to go that far.

First idea: Throwing the match. Doesn't work. The match goes out before it reaches the cardboard.

Second idea: Use the teleporter. Doesn't work. The teleporter affects other items you carry, but not a burning match. It does work on an unlit match, but it's no use to me here.

Third idea: Use the linking ray. Doesn't work. Actually, the ray does work on matches, and you can lit them that way. But you lose so much time getting it in your hand that it doesn't help, you getting to the card board faster.

Fourth idea: Use two matches. Doesn't work. I put a match on the floor of the room, get a burning match to lit it, drop it, get the new one ... The interaction is slow and ugly, but you can get it done with some tries. Still, the second match goes out a fraction of a second before it reaches the card board.

Fifth idea: Use the shooter. Doesn't work. The ray beam doesn't lit matches. I didn't think it would, but that was worth a try.

Sixth idea: Use three matches. Doesn't work either. Same as idea four, with a additionnal matche. Again, the manipulation is horrible. Lots of failed tries. This time, I swear I threw a burning match to the cardboard. The match hit the cardboard but it got out without lighting the cardboard on fire.

I'm out of ideas, and out of patience.

I think my sixth idea is the correct one, and I'm just too clumsy to make it work.

It's also possible I haven't thought of the correct solution yet, or that I missed something earlier.

I use #4 when I solve it.
What I haven't tried is shooting through the matches fire with the projectile (not ray). If that works, it's the easiest way.

For me your idea six worked.

It takes skill picking it up properly. Probably very hard on a gamepad especially.

I used a variant of #6 (throw the burning match to an unlit match). Throwing to the cardboard didn't work when I tried.

And yes it took me several tries as well (keyboard). More often than not, I was pickup the old match instead of the new one.

(and sometimes, the matches didn't appear immediately in the box between attempts)

Thanks MaximKat. It took several tries, but I managed to do it thanks to you.

Wait, I did all that for ONE scrap??? How do I get out of the cave? Oh, the door was open the whole time?! I would have swear it was closed yesterday. Grrr.

Thanks for the advice. Which projectile do you mean? I have a red shooting ray, a purple linking ray and a green teleporting ball. No projectile, unless you mean the ball?

You don't have it.

Probably he played on another account or used a cracked version.

Ok, that's what I thought. :)

Another question: Do I need the cube to win the race for loop 2? I feel like I do, but can't find the money upgrade needed to buy it.

David meant I don't have the projectile.

I do have the game, and the DLC, on this account. I backed Supraland 2, as I'm a huge fan of Supraland. It's easly one of my top 3 games of 2019.

(Even if the jumps make me nauseous!)

To answer my own question: no, you don't need the cube to win the second race. :)

It probably was closed! I spend over an hour trying to figure out how to get the door to open before I gave up. When I launched the game later it was open. In the process though I did figure out that you can ride a match like a magic broomstick though so it wasn't a total loss. Since they're wood, you can join two of them with a purple beam, pick up one and away you go! Even though this is the second time I've gotten stuck for like a hour on puzzle that turned out to be a bug, I'm still really enjoying it.
