Stuck at Volcano - warning system

So I've been stuck at the warning system puzzle. I have to put colored objects into the hole to set the "panic level". I figured I had to turn on each panic level in order - green, yellow, orange, red - , but I can't find any yellow item to paint the translocator ball with.

I don't know how the security gates work. I got the translocator range upgrade and found a key, but I didn't find any use for these within the area yet.

Help appreciated.

Pretty sure that key is let the blue prince out. You should probably do that first.

I already freed the blue prince, otherwise I would not have been able to get the translocator cannon and proceed to the current area. There's another key at the top of the building where I got the translocator upgrade.

u dont have to unlock every colour for the security system. as for the gates, think back to how you entered blue ville with those gates

After you free the prince he walks over to a locked door and is waiting for you to open it so he can get back to the blue village. Once you open that door for him, he should be available to help with the puzzle you're stuck on.

Well I'm an idiot, there is a lock right to the iron door in the area. I didn't see it because of the fog.

Look for the big building made of blocks/bricks in the area. The upgrade is inside, and the key is on the exterior wall, on a platform above the entrance of the building.

I think you can enter the building through the iron door at the front, pressing two pressure plates and using the translocator, but I managed to climb the right side of the building and enter from above.

Look for the big building made of blocks/bricks in the area. The upgrade is inside, and the key is on the exterior wall, on a platform above the entrance of the building.

I think you can enter the building through the iron door at the front, pressing two pressure plates and using the translocator, but I managed to climb the right side of the building and enter from above.

yeah i figured that out (climbing the right side), i got the key and let the blue guy in. so i went back up again and fell down, but now i am stuck there because there is no way out, because it override the last checkpoint and set it to down there

You're supposed to get stuck inside the building then find and use the upgrade to climb back up.

How do you burn the second one? I can't figure out how to get the lava to the back and nomnom flies won't eat the wood. And for some reason, my wooden sword won't catch fire, either. The pipe, despite looking metallic, does not magnetize and the lava does not stick to the translocator, either.
Meh, I figured it out. You need to energize the nomnombugs thru the lava.

As for the warning system, the light controls the alert level and through that, the speed of your cuz.
You'll need the right colour for the paint though.
The right colour is: orange

you need to let the flies "run" through the lava, after that they change the colour to orange and can burn the wood
