Purple crystal / Database guy help!
So, I need help with two things.

First off, there's this huge chasm on the way to the purple macguffin that I can't cross no matter what I try. I feel like I'm missing something.

Second, I can't find the database guy no matter where I look. Help!

The database guy is in the same area as the merchant who takes red barrels. If you put your back to the merchant, the path to the database guy is up ahead and on your left. You'll probably need to do some climbing to find it. For the chasm, if you struggle with it enough, the mustache guy will show up and give you a hint. You need to get the platform to stop in the middle of it's journey, so you can jump on it from both sides of the wall.

Thanks for the first tip! As for the second, I was talking about the one in the sandy area with some metal pipes scattered about and two hellholes that you find just after fighting rattle hag.
