Paint barrel

I'm really stuck in the area where I need a diamond pickaxe, I already figured out how to get the color but I cant figure out for the life of me how to turn the bounce pad so I can shoot the paint barrel out of the hole in the wall.

Any other hints?

stand the right of the wall and look up .(through the line).that is where you need to get.

Yeah I figured that much out, but I can't figure out how to get up there.

when you go over the door, there is some water coming down. thats where you need to use the grapler and it will lead to a switch to reorient a bounce pad.

Can you elaborate on that? How to go over the door? I'm stuck here, I know where the switch is but I con't figure out how to pass that door, I've been trying for hours. Thx!

I eventually figured it out, there's a new item/mechanic introduced in this area that isn't really pointed out in a super obvious way. Look for a way to use the new item that you can carry around in the area.

Totally stuck right there as weel, it's been 1hour i'm walking around, how do I get that damn barrel ?

If you talk to (clothed) NPCs everything relevant is always given to you in a very fair way.

I talked to every NPC, got every hint I could, I just can't figure how to reach that barrel.

Follow cables and talk to NPCs :)

I'm at a loss with trying to get the barrel down from the wall as well. Talked to the clothed NPC's and nothing clicked.

Finaly got it, but just by chance.
The game design's brilliant but this very mechanic is super shady.
I though since the begining I had to make the pickaxe blue (diamond) BEFORE I coud destroy the rocks, that's super not obvious you can just throw it against the rocks in its first state. The NPC hint actually confused me.

Thanks ZohH for the update. I have the pick axe I can carry around....... but throw it at the pixelated rock/stone wall? Dumb question I guess, but how do you throw it?

EDIT: LMB is what is meant as throw I assume ;)

Don't need throwing. Just "carry" it against the wall.
How would it be clearer? What should the NPC say instead?
