Electric puzzle question
(Puzzle spoliers!)

In the area just after Rattlehag, where you first get the metal ball. I think what I need to do to get at an optional door is to build a circuit via various bits of metal and pools of water, but the distance the electricity can jump seems a bit too short.
For example there's a ring on the floor near the battery - I think that's meant for me to put the cannonball in, so that the electricity arcs from there to the metal pipe... but it's not close enough; I need to bridge it with myself or the anvil from the other side. The same goes for all the other arcs, all of the objects seem to be just a bit too far to be able to complete the puzzle.
Is this working as intended, and if so am I missing an upgrade?

Thanks!

If the green pipe is already open, you can get lots of conducting items over there

You have to drag half of the map there but it is really worth it :)

There is also an easier solution btw. But you will learn the mechanism later

I gotta say, I am really, REALLY, getting sick of all the ridiculous puzzles that require WAY more than what is seen. To HADES with the "green pipe" crap! I love puzzles that seem hard but are super simple when you finally see the item right in front of you and how to use it where, but NEVER have I had to find items in far flung places to solve stuff. The Barrels were bad enough, especially with that Gawd-Awful gauntlet swarm to open the bloody door only to discover that I need the UBERFRIGGING Gun to melt the metal, that again requires ALL KINDS of crap from all over.
IMO, there's a HUGE difference between "challenge" and "absurd". This game is well into the Ridicu-frigging-lous-Absurd zone. Another example, of this: How the bloody heck are you supposed to get the chests WAAAAAAAAY on top of the Mast in the hag zone WITHOUT Cheating? And if it requires standing on your head while singing the anthem while under water to get some sort of Flying Cape, then I don't want to know.
If I seem P.O.ed, yes, I am. This game stopped being fun a long time ago when I really started to NEED guides to find things that shouldn't be that {deleted} hard to find.
Well, thanks for letting me rant. Now back to the guide to find all the effing Gun Upgrades.
OH! One more thing. The heck with the Radar, make it a bloody Arrow. I gotta crank the volume way up to hear the tiny pings while the gun breaks my speakers.

so with that logic you just dont have a brain to think outside the box? hmmm what conducts electricity if only you could think about things, its not like u have to run very far for items, just get better its not a hard game
