How to get rid of the girls from the diamond 3 player?

I've been stuck in this area for almost an hour. I've removed the sign and gotten the moon piece but after that no amount of hitting, stomping, shooting, or throwing will change his rank. I tried throwing the sign in the water, with and without the battery. I also haven't found anything to replace it.

The path forward and backward are blocked, so there's no way to leave this area. There is a seemingly useless battery, and an unreachable button.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something obvious?

Ugh, I figured it out immediately after writing this post. You need to grab the battery and shoot (not hit) it into the out-of-reach battery-terminal

first, you don't need him to move forward, it's a bonus thingy
look at the gate, is there a way to get past it (and yes it might seem totally obvious after)
hint: what do small square wooden blocks/platforms usually means to suggest you do with/"on" it
then once you've gotten past the gate you now have access to the next area puzzle, in there will also be the "solution"/means to your diamond supraplayer groupie problem

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Even with the purple cube, there doesn't seem to be anywhere accessible from that platform at that point. There is a second elevated wooden platform next to it, but you cannot jump on it. You can shoot the yellow ball into it, but it only flies useless into the air.

idono, might just be i sucked more at shooting it "proper" while being better at jumping over stuff so that was my solution

No way, i spent almost 2 hours, trying to figure a way of shooting the ball in "style"..Finally gave up and came here for solution, only to realize all you had to do was swap the signs lmao

Don't make lazy edits like the one above.

The bronze plaque is found in the small shed with the pink roof and tree. You have to make an electrical connection between the battery terminal and the house. You'll need two irons and yourself to make the connection.
