Anvil not charging? Bug?

I've looked all over discussions and Youtube videos. I think I have a bug. I am stuck on the way to the purple crystal and have opened the door to the puzzle area with the two anvils (I see a third way up high). My anvil does not charge at all. Sometimes I'll hold the anvil and stick it close to the charging wand, and it will start sparking. But just a second or two and no matter where I put it (on force cube or close to the wand) it WILL NOT charge. And I'm stuck - you can't progress through this area without solving puzzle nor can you go back. I've restarted game several times and respawned anvils several times to no avail. Don't know if there's a solution or not for this or if I've landed on some weird bug.

The anvil conduct electricity it doesnt charge. You may need to use several anvils to activate the detector. You can also use a wet sponge or tourself with the belt activated . That's up to 4 conductors.

Charging/Conducting - it doesn't matter - the anvil will not pass the electric charge onto another anvil or any other metal object. If I had 100 anvils, it won't matter because they all do not conduct! There's no wet sponge in this area until you use the anvils to open up the house. There's only 2 anvils available when you first enter the area. The float buckle does not do anything to help conduct for me in this area. This is why I think there's a bug.

Dont you need a battery to first activate the electric spark ...

Never heard of the anvils not conducting properly.

Despite this particular frustration I absolutely love the game. I've been obsessed the past week and I even started a new game because I want to get all the things and to see if I run into this problem again.

Did you restart the game and try again (I don't mean starting a new session, that is unrelated).

At 1:45 I see it occasionally doing some connections for a short moment but they don't stay. I wonder if it's related to your FPS. What is your FPS?

How did you solve the previous section where using an anvil has been necessary too?

We just managed to create the bug by setting the game to max 15 fps. I can tell you that it's just a visual problem. The mechanics still work. We'll try to fix it now though.

Oh wow! Thank you! I went in and lowered all my settings and yes, it's working. I do have an older computer and I was getting about 15 FPS at max settings. Looks like it's running so much better now and I appreciate the time and effort you put in to make such a great game. And the quick responsiveness!!
