Every time I Alt+tab or F11 or Windows+tab I have to reset GameSettingsSave.sav file
1st - Well done ... I read you made this by yourself within 16 months and wow what a great game im loving it!! Thank You!!

This is not a moan as I dont often Tab out of the game and its not ruining the experience for me, Im just advising my situ in case its a bug that could be fixed.

As said every time I tab out of the game, I cannot operate the menus when i tab/click window back as the mouse is way off, I try the f11 route, which works for approx 2 secs b4 it freezes the screen .. If I alt+tab again, the window will re-appear and work again for approx 2 secs & then loops until I quit the game.

If I restart the game without deleting that file the exact same issue will re-occur in the menu even before i have selected a save file, re-booting windows does nothing either, I have to delete that file.

Again this is not a massive issue for me as im enjoying the game so much I hardly ever tab out in a 2/3hr session :D

Specs - I5 2500, 16GB RAM, SSD, R9 290 - W10 pro - Everything Ultra @ 1080p - locked to 60fps on 42" LCD TV

I'm sorry, I have no idea what's going on. You're the very first person to have that problem. I'm tabbing out like crazy without any problems.

Tbh .. Im fairly new to W10 (3 days) after spending my last 4 months trying out linux, so it could well be something that I am doing or maybe the AMD overlay getting in the way .... im off to bed now but il try n record a vid of it happening tomoz n we can see from then, thx for the uber fast reply tho ... maybe u should get some well needed kip too ;)

P.S .. I only installed W10 to play your game .. So if u could make SPL2 for linux aswell that would be banging ;)

A pc can potentially always do crazy stuff due to very unusual configurations, like an amd overlay. Not saying that is the cause, because then a lot more people would have this issue.

Supraland 1 is also for Linux on Steam.
But it seems that using it natively gives people sub-par performance. Using proton people are really happy with it.

Lol .. that answer is like Pandoras box in my head ... BOOM!! XD .. I will elaborate to humour you ...

I am totally aware that Supraland is available on Linux but it will not run natively unless you have the Vulkan API installed & use the AMDGPU drivers.

Approx 1 month ago I used to run a R9 270x 2GB and was advised this when I tried to play the game the 1st time via PopOS, only to find out that the 270x falls in the experimental GCN1 category & is pretty much a hit or miss if it will work with Vulkan or AMDGPU ... Ie luck :(

So I think to myself, lets upgrade & go and buy a R9 290 4GB, double the power - what can go wrong ... well it turns out that this card is also in the experimental GCN2 range :SupraNeutral: .... So I gave up in typical noob Linux fashion & installed W10 ...the irony is thru the roof atm XD

And to rub it in for myself even more .. I bought my nephew a R9 280x at the same time I bought the 290 & he can run Vulkan & AMDGPU driver totally fine even tho my PC is a little more powerful over all & he uses the same OS & kernel? :steamfacepalm:

So ... if u could make SPL2 that uses the Radeon drivers and not AMDGPU/DXVK etc .... that would be banging ;)

Anyhow - thats linux n were talking about windows atm ....

Things get totally funky now as I had to do 2 different recording to highlight the issue. The reason we have 2 is because the AMD Re-live would NOT show the issue even when I could physically see it with my eyes :O ... I made a separate recording with my mobile phone which did confirm that I wasnt loosing my marbles & there was a issue to record.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3hC6Y7hibo&feature=youtu.be (re-live_

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_vxrQ6MxlY&feature=youtu.be (mobile phone)

Im starting to think that it could be the AMD drivers that are the problem. At the end of the vid recorded with relive .. I hover over surpaland in the AMD settings and it tells me that my card does not meet the min req`s even tho it can tell I have a 4GB model & autoset the graphics to Ultra ... Never 1080p tho ... always 1600/900?

I only have a few other games installed on my W10 drive and the only other game I can really push the graphics on is trackmania but it hasnt given me any issues to suspect there could be driver or card issues?

All in all tho ... the game is very enjoyable n thats the main thing at the end of the day, but I thought id at least advise just in case :chuchelcrazy:

Just in case u cant see the vids - my channel is "ohfuku" ( insect pic) on youtube & its the last 2 vids I uploaded :)

Ok thanks for the explanation.
At the end of the day we're completely reliying on the Unreal Engine 4 for these things. We are a couple of versions behind and will not update it any time soon for Supraland 1. But we'll switch to newer version after Supraland 1 stuff is all wrapped up.

Hi there & soz for the late answer ... been busy

I thought I`d update you ... I tried re-installing the (then) current driver for my card again and it kept throwing up issues so I forgot about it for a while & then AMD released a new revision of which Ive installed ... and the issue hasnt come up since :) Fingers crossed it stays like that ;)
