P.S .. I only installed W10 to play your game .. So if u could make SPL2 for linux aswell that would be banging ;)
But it seems that using it natively gives people sub-par performance. Using proton people are really happy with it.
Lol .. that answer is like Pandoras box in my head ... BOOM!! XD .. I will elaborate to humour you ...
I am totally aware that Supraland is available on Linux but it will not run natively unless you have the Vulkan API installed & use the AMDGPU drivers.
Approx 1 month ago I used to run a R9 270x 2GB and was advised this when I tried to play the game the 1st time via PopOS, only to find out that the 270x falls in the experimental GCN1 category & is pretty much a hit or miss if it will work with Vulkan or AMDGPU ... Ie luck :(
So I think to myself, lets upgrade & go and buy a R9 290 4GB, double the power - what can go wrong ... well it turns out that this card is also in the experimental GCN2 range
And to rub it in for myself even more .. I bought my nephew a R9 280x at the same time I bought the 290 & he can run Vulkan & AMDGPU driver totally fine even tho my PC is a little more powerful over all & he uses the same OS & kernel?
So ... if u could make SPL2 that uses the Radeon drivers and not AMDGPU/DXVK etc .... that would be banging ;)
Anyhow - thats linux n were talking about windows atm ....
Things get totally funky now as I had to do 2 different recording to highlight the issue. The reason we have 2 is because the AMD Re-live would NOT show the issue even when I could physically see it with my eyes :O ... I made a separate recording with my mobile phone which did confirm that I wasnt loosing my marbles & there was a issue to record.

Im starting to think that it could be the AMD drivers that are the problem. At the end of the vid recorded with relive .. I hover over surpaland in the AMD settings and it tells me that my card does not meet the min req`s even tho it can tell I have a 4GB model & autoset the graphics to Ultra ... Never 1080p tho ... always 1600/900?
I only have a few other games installed on my W10 drive and the only other game I can really push the graphics on is trackmania but it hasnt given me any issues to suspect there could be driver or card issues?
All in all tho ... the game is very enjoyable n thats the main thing at the end of the day, but I thought id at least advise just in case
Just in case u cant see the vids - my channel is "ohfuku" ( insect pic) on youtube & its the last 2 vids I uploaded :)
At the end of the day we're completely reliying on the Unreal Engine 4 for these things. We are a couple of versions behind and will not update it any time soon for Supraland 1. But we'll switch to newer version after Supraland 1 stuff is all wrapped up.
I thought I`d update you ... I tried re-installing the (then) current driver for my card again and it kept throwing up issues so I forgot about it for a while & then AMD released a new revision of which Ive installed ... and the issue hasnt come up since :) Fingers crossed it stays like that ;)
