Replayability
So after having completed the game and spending a bit of time exploring and collecting everything I missed (all bar 1 chest, can't find the damn thing), I've hit a point where the only thing left to do is the defence behind Red Town over and over again. So I started to think about what would add some replayability to the game, and here's what I came up with:

Hardcore mode
One life only. You die, you start again.

Speedrun mode
Regular playthrough but with a visible timer to show how fast you can beat the game. Maybe some other small changes such as skipping the tutorial or intro cutscene.

New Game Plus
The thing that I found really sucky was by the time I had opened (almost) every chest, purchased every upgrade and destroyed every spawn point was that I had nothing left to do with my awesome gear. A chance to go through the game again with all the upgrades would be awesome, and if the enemies were even tougher I think it'd be great fun.
Obviously some issues would arise with Happiness, so possibly disabling it until you complete X task or gather Y items again would help alleviate the sequence breaks

The ability to mix and match the above
Hardcore speedrun? Speedrun New Game Plus? What about a Hardcore NGP speedrun? I think that'd be GREAT fun and could result in some really fun gameplay.

Only thing I can say is that what I have in mind for Supraland 2 is that the content of the chests will be much more randomized, which makes replaying more exciting.

Speedrunning you can do of course; there is a timer in ESC. The world record is 25 minutes so far.

I'd be really, really disappointed if you don't add more to the game in favour of releasing a second. Feels like a cashgrab more than something new and interesting.

I felt the need to stand up for the dev here, since I found this thread while I was looking up NG+. This is the most entitled thing I've heard in a while. This developer makes, markets, and sells a full, complete game for a reasonable price. You purchased that game for that price (or a lower one on sale, perhaps). Instead of adding more features to that experience, the developer prefers to move on to the next game they want to build, while still also making fixes and DLC for this game. It's not a cashgrab, it's called making a living. Nobody comes down to your job and tells you that you should do stuff for free and accuses you of being greedy if you don't.

Supraland is one of the best games of 2019, hands down, and the developer is responsive to the community and has supported the game. Don't insult and demean the developer because you want something for nothing.

This seems so very backwards. DLC is way more of a money grab than producing a brand new game. And if you're asking him to just keep building stuff onto the existing game...that's what the Early Access period was for.

I'd appreciate it if you left a 3 month old thread alone.

Definitely agree with this statement.

Yeah I agree this is one of the best games I've ever played. Can't find much more like it
