Stuck on Unreal Engine loading screen
Started playing this game about a week and a half ago and everything was running great. Earlier this week when I went to play, it downloaded the most recent update, and since then my game gets stuck on the Unreal Engine loading screen. Even after uninstalling/completely deleting everything in the Supraland folders on the C drive and appdata/reinstalling I'm still stuck on the screen. I'm certain I didn't install any other software or make any changes to my system since I last played. Any idea what the issue might be?

It happened to me too, I continued on another computer...
But I didn't try deleting everything, because I wanted to play it on the desktop instead of the laptop anyway. Maybe if you clean the savegames and registry entries?

The savegames have nothing to do with this. They only get into play once you click the "play" button in the menu. If you are stuck before that it's another issue. But I have no idea why it would be doing that.

Happened to me too, just now. Tried restarting PC didn't help. I had 10 hours in and don't want to lose my progress...

The progress is in the save files in your save folder (See FAQ for location). That is not threatened. Why it would not start I cannot tell.

Just as a side- note, I also validated the game files on steam and they came back fine. This issue occured after I pressed play on my save file and then the cut scene played from when you start a new file so I exited the game and when trying to reaload it this issue occured.

Just as a side note, I forgot to mention it happened to me with the demo. The unreal engine screen shows, and refreshes at 30fps, but nothing else happens. The exe has not crashed and is "responsive" from the Windows OS's point of view. I can press Alt-F4 to exit.

Maybe Steam is stuck trying to cloud sync? Happened quite a lot to me for some reason (I suspect all those backup saves), but it mostly got stuck on the splash screen. Try disabling it and see if that helps.

If a savegame is actually broken you take one of the backup files.

where do i put said backup file? Or do i just rename it?

rename it to "save1.sav" to "save5.sav" for the slot you want

okay so i've renamed my backup and now it also reads 0KB
