The solution is to go to game Options and check the box that says: ignore system UI scaling.

Cheers!

Ah brilliant that fixed it! Came back from dinner to be met with your suggestion, so many thanks! Also I'm pretty sure your review was the reason I bought this as I was a bit perplexed as to whether I would enjoy this or not, but you won me over. Thanks again!

Hi thanx Stonedog, I even managed to get a 2048x1152 resolution!
Love how Stonedog tagged us both after reading our queries on the forums asking for a solution. Never seen that before on steam but hope to see more of it in the community!

Just glad it worked, and had think on it for a few minutes. I mean , I know the engine they use to run the game on pretty good, and I know that it supports these higher resolutions with ease. That left the code they used to build the game itself .

I mean outside of it being disabled ,( or not implemented due to time crunch) by them with good intent due to some crazy issue it was causing , there is not much left .

Had to be something I and others were missing that we were staring right !

Happy it helped for real, pass it on if you see someone else post about it, if you do not mind please .

Have a great day folks, I am going too U o C II launch two days ago, Command Modern Operations today, this must be what it feels like to be in Heaven , for you guys going that way . I got some work cut out for me on that part, but if it is like this all the time, I am getting on it fast :P

Cheers ! :TankYouMate:

Any other ideas? I have brand new laptop with RTX2060 and my res is stuck at 1600x900. Manually typing in resolution didn't work. Updated drivers, etc. I have an older computer and it works fine on that. Thanks

I have added a solution for this to the FAQ and links thread:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/809230/discussions/0/1841314700701041475/

Here it goes, let me know if this fixes it for you:

6. The game runs in 1600x900 in full screen mode but my native screen resolution is 1920x1080

This is happening due to windows UI scaling. Please do the following:
* Go to Settings -> Use of Access and confirm that "Make everything bigger" is set to something higher than 100% (in this case: 125%)
* Go to folder Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Unity of Command 2
* Right click on uoc2.exe -> Compatibility -> Change High DPI Settings
* Check option: Override high scaling DPI behavior (right below that it should say: performed by Application)

Thanks Tomis , marked that as the answer to make it easy for anyone to find.

The native resolution of my laptop is 2560x1440 (120Hz g-sync) (gpu: GTX 1070 8GB)

I still try to get my resolution running, cause 900p is so 1980 ;)

I will try the fix/solution. Hope it works.

Strange, that a game, in the end of 2019 has problems running in 1440p, when many are running 4k already.

Thx ! This solved the problem for my 2560x1440 resolution too.

Ok, thx. :) Keep up the good work. The game is fun/good, so far. :)

How do you set 2560x1440p fullscreen resolution for the game on a desktop PC? My monitor is 2560x1440. When I click Fullscreen in the settings the game resolution is still 1600x900. Do I need to click Windowed mode and then manually enter my screen resolution and then switch back to Fullscreen mode?
