Pure shovelware, so I'll keep short.
This game's only here for the achievements, as the other ones published by these developers.
The Unity settings menu is completely disconnected with the in-game settings (which are not recorded, i.e.: if you choose fullscreen and some volume options, on opening again the game they will be resetted at their maximum) - some small windowed resolutions will actually conflict with the game, which is meant to be played stretched (minimum 1280x768) or fullscreen. If you go for low or squarish resolutions, you'll get the right and left parts of the screen completely cut off.
The game consists only of a basic Tetris clone, ASCII, all black and white, without any kind of level system, difficulty changes or such. Only the usual useless leaderboard.
There is no tutorial at all, so you have got to figure out by yourself how to rotate the Tetris pieces (the L and R keys, with WASD or better, ASD only, to move the blocks).
You can turn them only with a single button and so, you have to roll them four times if you want to come back to their first place. Playing with L and R keys is extremely stupid since they're located on different spots on the keyboard and so, there's no sense to give them a "left" and "right" symbol. Just let the player remap the characters - you can't rotate with L and R while R is basically above your WASD controls. That's completely crappy. And the directional keys won't work, so as I said, no help or tutorial at all, but if you wanna know how to play well, I hope I gave you some good tips.
Apart from this, the counter on the upper part of the screen will give you random points based on the lines you make.
Unlike Tetris and other clones, not only this game is completely unplayable due to everything being black and white (made with ASCII characters) and so you can't distinguish the different blocks and overall it's a complete mess, but it's also totally ridiculous since it has no difficulty curve, no different modes as we had on our Game Boys in the '90s, nothing - only a single endless level without meaning, since if you mess up and get to the top of the screen with your blocks insteand of dying, restarting, choosing other modes, other speeds in which the blocks will fall down or such, the game will simply automatically restart from the beginning.
As I said, the ASCII environment is basically a black and white screen which won't ever change - your blocks will be the exact same color and shape of the walls on the left, right and lower side and they will blend, making you just get bored and annoyed.
So, if you like Tetris, take back your handhelds and keep on playing it there or simply choose a colorful and more well-developed game. This is not even a Tetris clone, but rather an Unity application used to unlock tons of achievement in one or two hours, nothing else.
I think that it's been decades that you can find Tetris clones on every kind of platform, so there'll be tons of them in free Flash websites or inserted into other puzzle games on Steam and so on.
This thing doesn't deserve literally a single cent, even if bundled. Just some 10-minutes diversion for the usual 2-hours-idling games for achievements and nothing else, since here you'll need to complete rows to keep the achievements popping up.
Not a game, impossible to rate.

I would have rather idled the game for 100% than actually playing because it does hurt your eyes

I got ASCII Game Series: Blocks expecting a bad but playable Tetris clone that I could earn some achievements on. What it turned out to be was one of those achievement farming things where you start it up and it just starts dumping free achievements on you, which I absolutely did not want. It's embarassing to have these kinds of achievements on my account and it dillutes the actual achievements from other games which I've earned. It should be clearer on the product page that this is just an automatic achievement farmer. There is no effort put into this "game" the icons are still the default Unity icons, there's no music or sound effects, there's no functionality to hold a button and have the tetrino continue moving (you have to tap the button for each square of movement), there are no animations, the screen is hard to look at... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

Want to feel how uncomfortable it is to play Tetris using WASD with rotate mapped to R, this is the game for you.

Sideways Thumb Recommendation in that as far as being a game goes, this is basic Tetris and that is something I find difficult to not recommend (although you can probably play better basic Tetris for free in a browser), but it also isn't the most offensive achievement spam game on Steam, at least you actually have to make lines for the achievements to start flooding the screen, you get more than 1 achievement per line it is difficult to tell how many or if it differs if you make multiple lines because they will basically flood the screen constantly if you have even mildly competent Tetris ability.
It is kind of sad that this is the state of Steam achievement spam games now, that bothering to have them tied to basic gameplay mechanics is something worth praising but that isn't this games fault.

Anyway, I think i've bought "Tetris" about 20 times by this point in my life including twice this week and I'll probably do it again, this is the most uncomfortable version thanks to the control mapping.

As an achievement game, it is not idle-able.
What is more, the straight bar is ridiculously rare, and single row eliminations give a poor amount of achievements.

As you probably figured out, this game is Tetris using basic ASCII symbols to make shapes and with soothing music. But you probably don't care about that. There are 5000 achievements that probably act as an incentive to purchase and play this game.

Achievements aside, it's a decent Tetris clone that focuses on nostalgia utilizing ASCII graphics and using soothing music to calm you as you play. It's a nice play if you're into some nostalgia. Asking price is $1, but you might want to wait for a sale where it's half-off. But if you want to support the developer, I see no harm in coughing up a dollar. After all, you're getting 5000 achievements in an hour.

Ez 5000 Achievements

Tetris game with horrible, non-remappable controls and poor visibility.

Positive:
+ Tetris
+ 5k Achievements that you can 100% in less than an hour, despite the bad controls

Negative:
- Terrible controls (move left and right with A and D, drop with S, but rotate with R - seriously, why the ♥♥♥♥ not W :x)
- Poorly responsive controls, holding S works, but not holding A or D, go figure
- Blocks move up and down as you rotate them
- Bad graphics, it's sometimes hard to distinguish if a square is filled or empty
- No preview of the next block. Tetris already has a luck/randomness element, without that preview it's even worse
- Overall, looks like a Unity school assignment that certainly won't get an A
- I played better Tetris games in the '90s

This game does the only thing it was made for very badly.
Your eyes will start to hurt after minutes of playing, the music is a ~20 second soundfile on loop, and it forces you to play actively to get the achievements, which it takes extremely long for.
