So four would be 80s, right?
Not sure when BWU takes place, but I hear it has some consistency issues
Oh and to let you know. BWU actually took place in the earlier half of the 1970's, while Path of the Furon took place in the later half.
There are a few references to BWU in Path of the Furon, like an advertisement for Pox's fast food franchise "Big Willy's". One of the reasons pox was able to get his holopox unit upgraded to have hands was thanks to that added income.
As well as the reason for Crypto's saucer being crashed inside the space dust was due to the fact that his love and ex-girlfriend Natalya died since human clones seem to have very short lifespans and he didn't take it well, drunken joy ride of his saucer, etc.
Between the two games, Path of the Furon was the better half of the 70's.
On the topic of the 5th game, yes 5th since BWU was the 3rd, and PoF was the 4th.
It would probably take place in the 80's, probably the second half, aka 1985 or so.
So.... I'm thinking time travel since duh, Back to the Future was set in 1985 and I could believe that some members of Majestic, MI6, the blisk, etc did survive in some form and want REVENGE. Resulting in some time travel to reverse the Furon invasion of Earth.
Due to the temporal fist, and time stopping Crypto would be able to be little affected memory wise at least, same with pox since he was able to get the Ion Detonator working in stopped time. But they would need to also travel through time to stop the remnents from thwarting their past missions.
Possibly using some time machine of sorts.
Then we could see popular locations again for mission sites from each game, face more powerful versions of old enemies, etc. Maybe even helping past allies.
And maybe, revealing the furon responsible for pure furon DNA in the human genome to be... Crypto xD
Furon had a lot more pros than cons pushing with the new technology making it a staple to see all the destruction you caused in the city and most of the locations had good variety, story and writing kept the same standards and still was funny. but i will admit the models and animations and sound clipping was a turn off, i did run into a few glitches when i played it, could it of been improved upon? of course, but not sure if still holds up today since i have not came back to it since it was first released.
The ending always felt sad to me, Pox and Crypto parting ways and got more sad with no word of a sequel, destroying humans felt a bit more lonelier, would love to see a comeback with heart and not just cashing in on fan's hype. no one want's another Duke Nukem Forever incident.
