Is this game as hard as Dark Souls?
I really wanted to play this game but HOO BOY, I just noticed that it's developed by Bandai Namco. Yea, the same people who developed Dark Souls!!!

I really hate playing difficult games because I'm just a normal person who likes to enjoy video games instead of a hardcore geek who doesn't like to go outside the house at all.

Is this game really as hard as Dark Souls or can I actually play this game and enjoy it as well instead of dying every 17 seconds?

This game is nothing like Dark Souls and is a completely different genre of game.

So is it easy or not?

Yes, it's easy. There might be a few areas that might be a bit meh but you just have to level a bit or know what optimal monsters to use.
Bandai Namco are the publishers of dark souls and Ni no kuni, but they have different developers. You can switch difficulties to easy mode if normal is too hard for you.
No it's not easy. Not hard really either, but annoying. Your familiars don't have theri own hp and mana and uses yours. The combat really sucks an uninspired blend of realtime action and turn based combat. Kind of needs grinding. Upgrading familiars resets their level and so adds to that grinding requirement. Plenty of difficulty spikes, not at all well designed for a smooth ride. And all while i'm already playing on easy. Casino sucks too. One of the most annoying games i played lately.

publishers are not developers they invest cash into developers hoping for ROI and they keep extremely diverse portfolios even more diverse than the devs
Its nothing at all like Dark Souls, adding my own voice to this! I will say, I am also playing it off the back of a replay of the whole trilogy and finally getting 100% achievements in DS3 so it has felt somewhat jarring to be playing a jrpg that feels the target audience is in grade school, but I think a lot of that is the translation being quite basic ngl
I've played both, Ni No Kuni is easy even on normal difficulty as long as you level up enough, it is a kids game after all, It is definitely worth playing too, the story is easily the best part, it's basically a studio ghibli film but as a jrpg
is this a joke
It's close.
The best Dark Souls game ever :steamhappy:

you know Bandai Namco didn't develop that series right?

They are just publishing the games for the actual developers "FromSoft" who developed both Dark Souls and Armoured Core series.

Bandai Namco's actual games are nowhere close to anything FromSoft makes (with some argument for Code Vein)
