Will Drippy ever shut up?

Drippy has got to be one of the most annoying tutorial dispensers I have ever encountered in a game. Almost every dialogue with goes like this: "Hey mun you idiot how about you use that new spell you just got. And yer call yerself a wizard bla bla bla"

Yes. I know I have to make the mushrooms grow. You already told me. Shut the f... up or I'll turn you back into a doll.

Seriously. I am about 4 hours in and Drippy is killing all the enjoyment of the game for me. The art style is great but I feel like I have no agency as a player. There is no illusion of me driving the story as the protagonist. It's just Drippy telling me what to do in the most annoying way possible.

Will he ever shut up or should I just uninstall the game?

Sadly no, he'll pretty much do that all the time, but you'll have some piece at end game when everything is done. He still does not take Navi's place.

I kind of love him so far, only just met him though. I laughed my ass off when he said, "Because your mom dropped dead?" Ice cold lol.

Then the premise of the game is him telling you that if you help him save his world you'll get your Mom back... maybe.

Two minutes after that he states that all fairies are incorrigible liars lmao. So far I love this little dude, he's such an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Eh, he does go on alot, the game hand-holds you alot (despite the fact that it's probably too difficult for an actual kid to get through). But I don't mind it as much because at least he's animated and voiced well, he's not just spitting out the exact same line every 30 seconds.

Same for me, the game is beautiful and wonderful, excepting Drippy. like if I could just autoskip everything he says, I could actually enjoy all the rest... He's cruel, mean, and butts into every conversation, so annoying, doesn't fit how nice the whole world is otherwise :( There's no hidden option or patch or something to just get rid of him, is there?

It starts with him telling a kid that just lost his mom how he's a crybaby and how she "dropped dead" (at which point, personally, I'd have just squashed him with he magic book...) It continues like that, constantly insulting people, being mean to them, that seems cruel and mean to me...

It does not continue like that; he is nice and constantly prattling on about helping people. The only annoying part is him hand-holding you, like it's a game for little kids, though I think most kids would struggle with it.

Hm, I gave him another opportunity and yeah, it does seem it gets better the more the game advances. So thx for changing my opinion, now I can enjoy the game a bit more :) (I still wish he would shut up sometimes tho XD)

Yes, that part is very true; he talks too much, but at least it's not "Hey, listen!" all the time. He's pretty likable, even if they do have him start off seeming surprisingly callow about a kid who lost his mother (although, without spoiling anything, there is arguably a good reason for that--I'll let you discover it).

No. He will keep talking, but he's there to help you. So yeah, he's going to keep holding your hand throughout the game. Some parts of the game are hard for kids, which is why he's there to help. (or adults) I feel like it is a good game and not a reason to uninstall. But that's my opinion. But yeah, I do agree with you though. He is kind of; annoying, kind of the same, the reason why I stopped playing. Because during battle, you'd be forced to listen to his dialogue. Overall though, he's a funny character.

agreed. i hate that little thing so much. i think the worst part is the terrible fake scottish accent, and the fact that half the time hes speaking literal gibberish. also tidy, stfu with that. i dont understand why they even bother to bring this "quirk" over from japanese as it is something nobody else in the world does (throwing out random "words" mid sentance and having a "catchphrase" thats just some randomly chosen word that has no actual meaning to the character), and just serves to absolutely ruin every character who does it, chi.
