" I'm using it with bluetooth tho."
There's your answer, more likely than not, try wired to see if that solves it.
I plugged in my Xbox controller, same thing, not recognizing my controller at all.
Try disconnecting everything but the wired Xbox controller, then it should work.
Can't check myself, still downloading, but given that it is a console port, obviously it has gamepad support as that is actually the primary and originally only option for controlling it.
Having multiple controllers connected can often screw up things, even when having set a preferred device.
In my case for instance, some games don't recognize the gamepad when my HOTAS throttle is connected, even though my XBOX Elite Gamepad is set to Preferred and has USBID 01.
I reset Steam and it works, weird why does Steam interfere with the game recognizing my controller...
Because Steam has its own Controller integration since a few years.
I went in there and checked, it showed Xbox and Pro controller but the game didn't until I restarted Steam. I tried other games it worked just not this one.
This is standard procedure and everyone should know this.
For best results, exit steam **before** connecting said controllers and start steam after.
Whenever I have an issue, this works for me 100% of the time.
what do you mean with "restart steam"?
