Destroy Items?

Okay, So I've played a bit. My inventory is full of crap like torches, spoiled food and things I can't break down or sell. Am I to just drop these items all over the ground or is there a way to dispose of them?

Just find a corner of the world to drop them in, there's no item destruction.

someone told me that anything you drop on the ground in a town stays there forever but if you drop it outside of town and you leave the map they dissapear.... so that means you can drop bags on the ground in towns and use it as storage :D

Yup. And if you want to destroy useless crap, just take it outside town and drop it all in a random spot. You could also drop a crappy bag you don't want and put all the items in there. If you really want to go deeper than that, just find a random empty chest or hollowed-out tree stump to toss your crap in.

Idk if you know this, but you can press I to open your inventory while looking inside a container in order to transfer items to it. I literally didn't discover this until about 8 hours into the game.

Yes, and if you drop your trash as you zone out, it's gone.

Make sure you do that bc you don't want your chest in your home packed full of junk. It seems to mess with the loading and has even caused my friend to lock up when trying to join my game. Clearing that seemed to help.
