Honestly, it seems like the legacy system was supposed to be something more but given that this game was rushed towards a release, some things were left unimplemented. Things like having your character retire, "legacy level", and perhaps the ability to transfer over skills with the skill tablet.
Pretty much this. Even if you want to utilize the Legacy system like it was "intended", you'll still come across issues like items disappearing from the Legacy chests. As they are now, they're really undesirable and not well implemented, in my opinion.
While this is true, this serves very little purpose outside of very niche scenarios and also has the propensity to bug out. There's been times where I've left items in Legacy chests and when I go to check on them later, they're gone. There appears to be something that completely deletes everything and anything that you've ever put in Legacy chests.
I think the Legacy system is just a result of a rushed release. I'm almost positive that they had grander plans for the Legacy system that they were just unable to implement while being rushed towards releasing the game. There's too many signs that point in that direction. Things like Legacy levels, transferring skills via the Legacy system, and character retirement.
You can attain the Cierzo Town Key while joining any faction quest line by completing the Vendeval quest. It is a timed quest and it is possible to fail this quest, but it is completable regardless of which faction the player joins.
That is an interesting method of split-screen cheesing. With that being said, it's still split-screen cheese. I highly doubt that's what the developers want you you to do. Create throwaway characters for the sole purpose of duplicating Tsar stones and then having those throwaway characters give it to a character that matters.
Legit gameplay right there. :Shrugs: And why would any PC player in their right mind even bother with this? Hell, even console players have ways to duplicate items without the Legacy system. Honestly, neither system was ideal, but now you're pretty much forced to cheese if you want to actually get anywhere with Tsar stones.
It's kind of silly design in my opinion and does not up the value of the Legacy system one bit for me.
