Legacy System and Coop
After playing through the whole game coop and finding all the legacy chests, we beat the questline, and went to fill up the chests for the next run. Found that not only are the 1 item but its not a different instance of the chest for each of us, so we each chose 2 items we wanted to base our new chars around and made new chars, chose the legacy and started out. And boom, didnt have the items in our starting chest.

What's the point of legacy then? The only things that are locked are faction specific, otherwise you can get every item again. Why even bother with it? Why wouldnt i just have my friend join on his old char and drop me all the things i wanted to legacy? And then i do the same for him. just seems like a 100% useless system if you have to go through the entire game again to get items that you're going to get anyways.

If you're playing solo, then legacy chests have relevance.

If you don't want to cheat and have a friend(or yourself) transferring items, then legacy chests have relevance.

It's a terrible system, I agree, but that doesn't mean it's useless.

except it is useless because the only items you would want to put in it are items you already get on a normal playthrough that you would find around the time you are looking for the chests. Its not like you are going to rush their dungeons or the story quests on a new char with nothing on them. Only use i can think of is faction specific items. and even then its almost not worth it.

I believe this system was meant to be a way to transfer skills over to your next character, however through many rumors about skill being passed on, it seems that Devs removed this really great and potential feature or content.
This is why it would be a far more suitable and more desirable achievement to go through the trouble to obtain and unlock the chests. Would be more satisfying to see a mix professions that the current limit of 3.

^ yeah There’s a skill tablet but it does nothing they abandoned that plan. They are kind of relevant for tsar armour/weapons because you’re only supposed to have limited tsar stones per character unless you cheese the grave thing.
