Has anyone been able to get this achievement? If so, can you tell me step by step? I've been able to retrieve an item on a second character that used another character as a legacy in the character creation, but the achievement was not given.

Am I missing something obvious? I've tried prior to complete a faction storyline and after completing a faction storyline, and I've still been unable to attain the achievement even though I have retrieved an item from a legacy chest with a character that used another character as a legacy. :Shrugs:

You're supposed to open the chest in the same spot, take the item out, then you'll get it.

That's the thing, I have done that. I.e. store an item in a legacy chest with one character. Create a new character, used the character that stored an item in a legacy chest as the legacy, then opened the legacy chest and retrieved an item. But this did not give me the achievement. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

A friend of mine also tried, and he did not have success in doing so either. I haven't seen any videos or guides on this particular achievement either. :Scratches head:

Does the Cierzo Legacy Chest not trigger the achievement?

That's weird, i've got the achievement. Which legacy chest did you open?

The first one I did was in Cierzo, in the storage, and that worked for me.

Yeah, the Cierzo one is the one I've tried. Can you detail the steps just to make sure I'm not doing something wrong? I would appreciate it greatly. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

All I did was just put an item in the Legacy Chest, then make a new character, rush the Vendavel Warlords quest, got the key, opened the chest, and took the item out.

For anyone still having trouble getting this achievement, here is exactly how I got it.

1. Have a Character finished 1 of the 3 Main Questlines. (At this Point your active Main Quest should have the Name "Well-Earned Rest")

2. With that Character run to every of the 4 Legacy Chests and put an Item in it. (Make sure Cierzo does not get destroyed by Vevendal, otherwise that Chest is gone forever).

3. In the Main Menu click on "New Game" and while setting the parameters for the Character you have to Click on the "Legacy" field right under the "Hair Color" Button. Select the Legacy Charcter where youve put all the Items in the Chests. By now it should show you the list of Items every Chest will contain.

4. Start the Character !!!!!!!Do NEVER activate Splitscreen on your new Character, to mule him Equipement or something like that, until you have the Achievement !!!!!!!

5. Buy 3x Travel Rations from a Vendor with your 24 starting Silver.

6. Travel to the Hollowed Marshes to the Spire of Light where the Legacy Chest is in.

7. Run for your life to activate all the switches to get to the Legacy Chest and retrieve your Item.

Maybe this can be done quicker, for example by doing the split screen method and giving your new character the cierzo key so he can retrieve the item from the legacy chest in cierzo. I dont know exactly whats the condition for this achievement, but i was struggeling a lot with it and tried a lot that failed the achievement.
Sometimes items were not in the chest or when they were, the achievement did not count and so on.

So if youre having the same issues like I had, do it as I mentioned above and you will get it 100%.
