Did you not see Jack literally shoot Lana?

Yes, I believe so. I'm not totally sure about Emma though. We didn't get any clear information there. Of course he did kill Lana. And Henderson, Fry and Lilly. He probably also killed that annoying dispatcher guy and that guy Henderson held hostage. So yes, he probably killed Emma too, because she knew him too well. But Im not sure there, maybe that's the lead into This is the police 3? At least that's what I hope. :)

I would like This is the Police 3 to be set in one of the two cities mentioned in the game. One is Ripton, the other I can't remember the name of

Yes, Gerinsburg or something of the sorts

Anybody else getting the feeling that Jack Boyd's gonna be the antagonist in the sequel? What better way to end the whole thing by having him turn into a truly ruthless villain and then you get to put him down yourself after coming along for the ride.

This Is the Police 3: You Vs. Boyd.

That's my sense on it yeah. Jack went from being somewhat sympathetic to almost entirely unlikeable by like day 5 and spent the remainder of the game that way. It was sort of jarring honestly. If there is a 3rd, he's almost certainly going to be the bad guy. It can't end well for him at this point.

TBH, I don't know how they're going to rework the gameplay so it can fit the current story for TITP 3. The only way I could see the story being pushed forward that allows familiar gameplay for TITP3 is that Boyd is smoked out by the FBI, thereby he ran to another city, and we play as a new police officer for that city.

===
And I don't know why, but I think a highly likely protagonist for a TITP 3 might be a "Lilly/Lana"-esque character that is not emotionally compromised (essentially a face for zero tolerance on corruption, progressive changes to policing, someone who commands the respects of young cops, etc.)

I cannot explain why but an image that immediately pops into my head is Agent Dana Scully from X-Files.

Well i saw it but it is still hard to belive what i did saw in the TITP2. When i finish the frist one i came to the second one with belive that Jack will resolve all problems and he wont end like that(as a bad guy).
Maybe in the TITP3 we will play as Palmer :D

Considering how much this series tries to push (with more or less success) several game types at once it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see you playing as the FBI agent from the first game (Jack's friend from school, don't remember name); perhaps it'll focus more on investigations, perhaps a bit of retrospect in interrogating people who worked for Jack in Sharpwood (therefore we'll still have police dispatching game and assaults).

What I don't get, about ending, is why Jack killed Fry - Emma is a logical choice, she knew too much, but Jack needs someone for making his fake ID of being Warren Nash legal; not to mention Fry might have had a dead man switch for just this occasion.

He killd him beacouse Fry probably arranged everything(he will give him money once and he will make that Feds will leave sharpwood for long time+ he will got for Jack new ID)
what they agreed earlier including documents for Jack so he wasnt useful any more probably.

Good ending, IMO. I just wish that the actual game didn't end after the credits.

You know, considering all the Caesar references in the game... Maybe the next game's going to be about 'Brutus'. Not necessarily playing as him or the conspirators, but someone who witnesses the 'Assassination of Caesar', so to speak.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I also think there's definitely something to the Forest Spirits of Sharpwood. One of my cops was possessed, killed another cop while shouting in an unknown language and foaming at the mouth, then killed himself. Remember that little minigame near the end, where the game tells you 'SAVE JACK'S SOUL'? What if it meant it literally? Jack Boyd's conscience is gone. All that's there is a man completely driven to get everything he wants, no matter the cost, no matter how many people he has to kill. The Forest Spirits have taken him.

Yeah yeah, suspension of disbelief kinda flies out the window once you involve Forest Spirits, but hey, maybe it's gonna go down the X-Files or Twin Peaks route.
