How to increase game's performance

Hi Guys,
I just wondered it would be cool to create a a manual on how to increase game's performance and not just: "Buy a better computer lol" I mean I definitely makes sense, but not so to the customer who payed for this game. So, yeah...

Well i mean, main things are lowering settings and not building a huge city.

You can sometimes get more fps playingon the win 7 version.

Is there anything else?

I might be wrong.
But I like to share 2 thoughts.

In the settings you can adjust the people. Something like should they move while walking or something like that. I have that pretty low for I seldom watch the citizens.

Having less trees may help a bit. In the editor U can kick of all trees. Than place some where you need and want some.

don't build too many different buildings (something like max 2-3 different residential building types in city)

One way to get more performance after the obvious settings is go to config file and reduce the draw distance even further. The minimum is 3000m i think and it doesn't look absurd if you bring it down to 2000m or 1500. Won't look good but it will give you more frames. After that you need to load the game directly by the .exe file to skip the steam launch auto config.

You can try adapting the resolution, lowering it by a bit gives good results.

what should i do to my rig to increase performance for soviet republic? more ram, vram, better cpu?
