Black Screen / Main Menu
I have played Doom Eternal before, and decided to reinstall it to refresh my memory before the dark ages (and also to play the DLCs).

The game starts up fine, loads (Teleporting) and the screen turns black while the theme music plays.

The only hardware change since then is a new monitor (1080p 144Hz), other than that no changes.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried turning off all the overlays that I could think of, excluded the game from all the firewalls, updated my Nvidia driver, etc. but nothing seems to work.

Hardware:
・i7 6700K
・GTX 980ti
・16GB memory

This PC is old but runs several games (Hell Let Loose, DCS world) without any problem.

Update: reverting my nvidia gpu driver to 566.36 - WHQL (Thu Dec 05, 2024) fixed the issue for me.

:cozybethesda: Thanks, much. I ran into the exact same issue as described, and reverting to this driver version likewise fixed it for me. I'll see if I can drop Nvidia a line about it; question remains, how will we know if it gets fixed in future driver updates? Trial and error, huh.

Can confirm that as of the latest Nvidia driver, 572.83 Mar 18 '25, this hasn't been fixed. Back to 566.36 it is  I had dropped Nvidia a line about it, but, yeah.

as of latest version 576.28 it still isn't fixed, downgrading to 566.36 solved ( https://www.nvidia.com/pt-br/geforce/drivers/results/237748/ )
