Why ? : He is Fat , Flamethrower is OP , lots of HP
I agree on this one coupled with the marauder, way to go
Flame wall is also very good way for blocking pathways and protecting yourself and your teammate.
Combine these with the Archies ability to teleport and you got a pretty nasty support demon.
Timing the loot blocker and timing the shields and healing square would be impossible to kill.
I was rocking the Mancubus at first, but they feel rather useless if the Slayer maintains their distance. I'm not sure why ID decided to give the Mancubus a smoke screen ability, even if it comes with an upgrade that increases movement speed. They should have given the Mancubus the ground slam ability that creates a slowing, damaging electric field; the one that they use in singleplayer.
The Marauder should have also been a melee character or could have at least shot beams from their axe as they do in singleplayer, rather than having them throw magically regenerating axes.
The marauder probably has the most transferable skills if you play only slayer. He used to be really meta when he could stack damage resistance but if you know what you're doing The Marauder shouldn't be a problem now unless he's the most twitchy aimer on the planet. But most Marauders i face think they are hot ♥♥♥♥, and try to 1v1 the slayer at any opportunity they get which gets them killed every time.
I haven't talked about Meatball yet... He can fly, has tonnes of HP, a spammable shield that blocks all damage, and if he ever finds himself in a bad spot he can just dash out of there. If he is on top of the ability game he will just barely manage to escape your grasp and resurrect his teammate. Every... Single... Time... If the chaingun shield didn't exist Meatball would be a must pick every game! But because the chaingun shield does exist he's probably no better than the Archvile.
Doot is bad. The mobility and abilities he has doesn't matter if you can just delete him instantly before he can use it to his advantage.
