quickswitching is only possible with keybinds
Yes, it is ALL practise 100 of hours.
Also check this video, should help you a lot
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTnGhbXyROE
My keybinds are something like that
1 = Shotgun
4 = Plasma gun
Q = SSG
E = Rocket launcher
R = Super shotgun
Y = minigun
F = blood punch
T = BFG
Q - > E - > R is my usual combo to go
But there is 100 of different combos and some are faster than others, i really advise you to watch the vid :)
c = heavy cannon
1 = shotgun
2= rocket
3= chaingun
mouseup = ssg
mouse down = balista
4=bfg
thats my bindings and it works out really well for me. Whatever binding you choose you just need to get used to it.
I bound ssg to a thumb button and committed it to muscle memory, and deeply regret doing so. Pressing it can cause my hand to slightly move inward which can tweak my aim unfavorably.
Luckily the SSG doesnt really require aim, but if you're switching fast it can be jarring.
It also helps to move other weapons to closer keys like I have Rocket Launcher on 4, Chaingun on T, and BFG on F. I also have grenade on mouse wheel click and switch grenade on dpi button.
I mean, I'm in the same boat. I have SSG bound to a thumb button and havent been able to adjust to mapping it anywhere else. I still feel like it would be better bound to a key.
I also have melee/glory kill bound to a thumb button and that works alright because aim isnt a factor.
what are the rest of your keybinds? id like to try them out as this seems like a rather efficient keybind setup
