"doubt"
I mean, it's an indisputable fact. Eternal makes Doom 1, 2 and 64 a canon part of the "new doom" timeline. And the events of Doom 2 was the Doomguy going on a rampage cuz the demons killed Daisy.
It's stupid, yes. But it's canon. And it's great.
From what I've read it's not even certain that Daisy is dead in the Eternal timeline.
I think the whole Daisy thing is just a theory/Easter egg. It's funny and would be awesome if true, but I guess we'll see.
Eternal outright confirms that the slayer and the original Doomguy are the same person. Therefor Daisy is dead. And the death of Daisy is, at the very least, partially responsible for the Slayer's eternal crusade against hell. That -is- certain.
That doesn't really make sense to think daisy is the only reason he's killing demons in DOOM 2. Sure its one of his motivations but I think saving humanity from being consumed by demons is also a pretty good motivation. In fact at one point in the game he successfully helps some of the earth survivors to escape the earth, thus ensuring humanities survival. At that point he straight up gives up to let the demons kill him because his job is done, he only keeps fighting because someone tells him he can force the demons off of earth by killing the icon of sin. So he's definitely motivated more by saving the earth rather than killing all demons to avenge daisy.
Though by the time of 2016 he's lost a lot more. He lost the war against the demons when he was working with the sentinels, was betrayed by both the Khan Maykr and his fellow sentinels, and was imprisoned by the demons for who knows how long after rampaging through hell. There's also a theory that the original dimension that the classic doom games took place in were destroyed by demons, but we don't know exactly he got from the classic doom dimension to the dimension of the night sentinels in the first place so its hard to know.
Daisy is also the name of John Wick's first dog who was killed, funny enough.
I haven't gotten another cat. Because no one will replace. He wasn't just a pet to me, he was someone I knew for half my life, and since he was a kitten. There will be no cat like him in this world.
So I can see where some of that rage and hate might be coming from.
I think it's the same Doomguy, but I think the Earth he came from was destroyed by the demons.
I think "what he lost" is Earth and his entire dimension. And the reason he rejects the Khan Maykr's offer is because he knows she cant actually give that back and he's not as interested in getting it back as his is in destroying hell and preventing it from happening again anywhere else.
Daisy died before the events of Doom 2. She's shown dead at the end of the Ultimate Doom.
Still 3 episodes without mention of Daisy.
Think Daisy is kind of a funny Easter egg thing in Eternal. Plus, she appears alive as an Easter Egg in every level.
Yeah but she only died when the demons invaded earth, which happened at the end of Doom 1.
That is exactly what I said.
and all the slayer want actually is RIP AND TEARS UNTIL IT'S DONE bring back is familly won't change is mind
