Returning to the ship?

I've got a bunch of Sentinel Batteries I want to spend, as I've hit something of a rough point, but I can't seem to find any way to return to the ship to spend them. I'm just a little ways into mission 4 at the moment. Given that the ship has a practice arena, and it's own mission select screen, I figured it was a hub that would be replacing the main menu, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Additionally, I wanted to go back to some earlier missions to complete them, and get more casual chances to complete some weapon challenges. Do you need anything other than Dash to 100% earlier mission completion?

After a certain amount of missions pass, you will return as part of the main sequence. Don't sweat it too much.

And you can replay any mission from the ship whenever you feel like it.

There are certain missions that do not take you back to the main hub area once finished. Cultist Base is one of those, and you must complete Doom Hunter Base to return to the hub.
