Damn, that's cool. Too bad you signed a EULA saying you won't modify the game.
oh yes because those EULA really stops people from modding things....and companies usually totally go after individuals to persecute them on such illegal activities.
Just think of Apple and the Hackintosh community as one prime example.
No one will give a flying fart if some coder/moder finds a ways to mod or play them in other Doom ports. The original Doom games are legendary for these very reasons
Lmao. You gotta love when ppl question eulas for boilerplate language there's never actually used.
After random experimentation, I found that HOLDING Tab for about a second starts activating the map on every other frame (flashing). It's a coin flip when you let go whether you end up in the map or not, and the same again to exit it. Very strange.
As for the wad files, they are the "newer" versions that feature changes like showing pills on medkits and replacing SS soldiers with basic zombies, but otherwise are perfectly fine wad files to be used in any other engine.
(edit) To clarify, the reason I point out the wad files can be loaded in other engines is because the in-game implementation is...... atrocious. I guess it has that "retro" feel? I don't think there are any achievements related to playing it inside DE, so if you are just looking to play the classic games you are much better off loading them in a different engine.
