I'm so tried of these hipsters coming to EVERY new game forum and essentially begging for a game to be made available to them. Such a "superior" OS huh. I bet Doom Etrnal's sales will tank because ~1% of Steam gamer base can't play it.

I could go over stats of how insanely non-profitable it would be for them to bring it to linux, but you guys dont care that 0.6% of ALL steam users use linux and you don't care how true that % is. Entitled people will always be that, entitled.

You could ask in a nicer manner like a grown adult or you can just come in the way you did and have people negatively respond to you.

I bought and I play that DOOM on linux because I play all the DOOM. Please make sure it runs well, look at No mans sky id software. Call them and ask how they made it. Incredible to say that to id

Look I like Linux too but let's be realistic: If you want to play modern AAA games you need the industry support that only Windows has. Even a Mac port is a pretty rare sight to see from publishers.

If I'm not mistaken, the original Doom was designed for MS-DOS before it got ported to literally everything else.

But you don't understand, Linux is the superior operating system. What? You don't like launching a terminal and looking up commands just to gain permissions for files on your hard drive? You don't like running "sudo apt-get install" when you want to add software? You don't like using file formats that are largely incompatible with the rest of the world?

I'm exaggerating of course, I like Linux and I respect the GNU mission. But I have to admit there are reasons that most people do not game on it.
